Liberal Public Safety Minister Ralph Goodale, has been tight lipped about just how many deportation orders are being executed after they’re issued by the government of Canada. And the minister in charge of border security, Bill Blair, can't get his facts straight.
Blair told Global News that the overwhelming majority of asylum seekers deemed inadmissible have been removed from the country or have self-deported, but the government's own data made him look like he was either lying or inept.
As reported in a Globe & Mail article, only six of the 900 asylum seekers under deportation order by the U.S., were removed. What about everyone else? The fake refugees, the denied immigrants, and those deemed inadmissible for a whole host of other reasons including criminality and ties to terrorism, or those who overstayed their visas, or snuck in?
What does the Liberal track record of evicting those who shouldn’t be here really look like?
An order paper question from rookie Alberta CPC MP Arnold Veirsen gets us some answers, and today, I have those numbers for you.
But one more set of numbers in this order paper answer demonstrate the tangible, measurable results of Trudeau’s obnoxious "welcome to Canada" tweet seen round the world.
The number of people waiting for an immigration review board hearing has jumped from just 48 under Harper in 2015, to 4,076 in 2019 — and we’re only halfway through April!
