"Sorry they got caught": Liberal Finance Minister calls off $250 dinner-for-donation scheme (for now)

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

It been just a month since the new government was sworn in, and they’re already peddling influence, if the cash goes to the Liberal Party.

I mean, at least Adscam was done in secret. Well, as the saying goes, it’s 2015 now.

The new Liberal finance minister, Bill Morneau, sent out an e-mail to Liberal donors saying that he’d meet with them, over dinner -- Now will you please donate $250 dollars to the Liberal Party?

At the last moment, the Liberals called off this scheme. Mary Dawson, the ethics commissioner, started an investigation.

The Liberals say they did nothing wrong — no, no. They’re sorry — not sorry for what they did. Sorry they got caught.

Oh, they’ll try again. But they’ll just make sure the next cash-for-lobbying scheme is a bit less public — and probably with a higher ticket price.

Justin Trudeau campaigned against government money for childcare --
Now taxpayers are paying for his two nannies, even though he's rich.

I know your still hurting after being sued for False news articles. Where you proclaimed your innocence as being an entertainer, and people should not take your rants as fact.

Every party in Canada has a fund raising arm. The CPC have a great fund raising arm.

I received this letter, and what I got is sure different then your report. It was sent out to party members, not the public. It stated that the Finance minister would be in your area. And would be available to spend time with you and 4 of your friends. To hear from you on your concerns, and spend time to discuss what you feel matters.

And then you had an option to donate from $5 to $250 your choice to donate or not.

0 Difference from any other party.

As I warned people during the election, Trudeau = Harper lite.

Deborah Graupner – they always have been and are proving, once again, that what they are about. The scary thing is lefties don’t care. Ontario voted in Kathleen Wynne even after all the BS and economic crap she has and is putting that province through – lefties don’t care. And it appears that the US is poised to vote in Hillary – most corrupt politician there is and still – lefties don’t care. Then you get idiots like Sean Penson – what do you do with a mind like that!!!!!!!

Sylvia Anaka – great job of proving the Liberals are the biggest crooks going!

Don Cloud – you liberals are such sheeple just keep following your leader without fact checking anything. Here’s a paragraph taken from the Winnipeg Free Press dated June,2015 (includes a link to the entire article)
“Details of the report from Auditor General Michael Ferguson show retired Liberal Sen. Rod Zimmer is the worst offender on a list of nine current and former members of the upper chamber whose expense claims are being turned over to the RCMP. Ferguson identified $176,014 in expenses claimed by Zimmer for what Ferguson says was non-Senate travel and a housing allowance he shouldn’t have been allowed. That is the highest total amount of questionable expenses in the audit and represents almost a fifth of the $976,627 in total questionable expenses Ferguson flagged for 30 senators.” NOTE: retired LIBERAL senator is the worst offender!!!!!!
And here’s another link as well showing that the media party really couldn’t have cared less about Duffy.
I’ll bet there won’t be a response from Don.

Politness is bullshit and it gets no one anywhere. The coming cultural war will be as destructive as the one being waged in the US. We can learn much from the Americans in the way they have fought their cultural war. In the end, treat the war with progressives like a real war. They are the enemy – treat them according. They deserve no quarter, and none should be offered. You only have one path to victory and that is to defeat progressive soundly and completely. Assure that they go down and never get back up again.

Of course the liberals screwed up, they were confused by people using their own money.

Poor Justin—- is going to have 4 years understand the Liberal mindset. O Sorry- Justin is going to rob the rich and give to the POOR. Justin—back to the Planet Earth—— in particular CANADA. Do what is best for your COUNTRY.

Peter Netterville: How, in this country with our form of Government structure and processes, are these people held accountable for their behavior? Lessons may help a little, but where is the accountability? Elections ever 4 years just doesn’t do it. Maybe some others have a suggestion.

Peter Netterville: I agree absolutely. Thanks for your comments. It really hurts very much to see what our country is becoming.

I’ll bet after that dinner call to the patronage trough, local Staples stores sold out of brown paper envelopes.

@ Evelin Cooper

My purpose for expressing that all parties have acted like immature children in the HoC was not to deflect from the obvious excessive rudeness Justin Trudeau expressed. As far as I know Trudeau is the only one to act out in such a disrespectful way.

What bothers me the most about Justin’s rude behaviour is that other Liberals, NDP MP members, nor the media did not rebuke him but applauded him because he “dressed down” a Conservative. That behaviour would have been torched by the Liberals, NDP MP members, and the media if a Conservative dressed down any Liberal or NDP MP in the same manner. The unfounded arrogance and hypocrisy of the left is so infuriating it make me shake in anger.

But my original point remains, they all need to take some lessons in politeness from other democratic parliaments around the world.

I’m surprised the dinner was only for $250.

Peter got told. Better hit the Google trail for a response.
commented 2015-12-06 18:06:06 -0500
This $250 is just to get on the list for the $10+billion deficit (scamaway) that the liberals will be distributing. Larger donations will of course be given preferential consideration. Gerald Butts has a wonderful list of green projects designed for needy places in Atlantic Canada and a greener list for some of the blue areas of the country that in our collective minds will adjust their thinking. Of course they have learned from Quebec’s mistakes on how to arrange kickbacks. By continuing the importation of “Syrian” refugees over an extended time, it should keep the populace occupied enough that we can slip these projects in without much notice. And by adding in enough Carbon taxes, the serfs will be too broke to do anything about it.
commented 2015-12-06 17:38:10 -0500
Peter Netterville: Yes, I agree that many elected members of the House of Commons act immaturely during debates. That has actually gone on for decades and longer – an annoying habit. But Trudeau went beyond all limits and used extremely rude, profane language, not as a background smart-Alec jab, but on his feet, in the House of Commons, shouting at a specific Cabinet Minister – and using completely unacceptable language that to my knowledge has not been used before, and in a personal attention-getting, self-serving manner. (“Look at me, everybody. I’m putting this Cabinet Minister in his place!!”)
Saying that other politicians from all (!?) parties do it as well sounds too much like the Liberal time-worn way of deflecting criticism. My anger is actually not so much because of his immature behavior but because of his conceited hypocrisy to try to claim that as PM, his morale superiority over others in the House of Commons will lead him to ensure the House behaves more civilly. As such, when I see his picture, I also am inclined to repeat the Trudeau motto that those school students recited.

Allah Akbar.

Too funny!

But be careful – you are now on the “watch list”

Lefty folks love to spy on the working class.

Liberals shy about grabbing money from the usual suspects?
Where is McGuinty when they need him?

Dear Diary;
Phew! The results are in. The agonizing wait reminded me of waiting for the results of my degree finals, I mean the easy artsy one, not the hard engineering one at the Poly-Tech that I had to quit because someone made it too difficult for me. The draft of the legally binding Paris treaty, the one to change the climate and save the planet, the one that doesn’t have any legally binding agreements or any legally binding consequences, but it’s legally binding, has been approved.
My global masters at the U.N. must surely be smiling on me now. The wait was certainly nerve-racking; after all, bringing a crowd of over three hundred and eighty champagne sippers, caviar guzzlers and Brad Wall for an all expenses paid trip to Paris can catch the attention of some people. Not that it’s about the money, no one cares about that. It’s all about people’s perception of me as their great leader. That’s what really counts.
commented 2015-12-06 14:09:18 -0500
Evelin Cooper, you mentioned about the civility in the house of commons. I agree with your comment. I have watched the HoC assemblies in several different countries and levels of government, and no where in the world, not even in Britain where our parliamentary system comes from is any of them so rude, always yelling in the background and,in Justin’s case, swearing.

All parties are guilty of this and it really is an embarrassment.

Fern Shuttleworth said, “How anyone would ever vote Liberal, is scary!”

In my opinion there are two types of voters that vote Liberal, 1) those that are already corrupt and have no issues with corruption as long as it is the Liberals and may even benefit from the corruption, 2) those that truly are duped, probably because they believe the lies and don’t look into it very much if at all, and some just swayed by their friends.

That is just my take on the Liberals and those who support them.

“Less public with a higher ticket price” Pretty much a given with the Lieberals! More adscams in the making!
commented 2015-12-06 12:33:09 -0500
Folks. Let’s not be too hard on our PM. Many things that Trudeau does and says that seem nonsensical and make him look weak, ignorant and slightly corrupt are really orchestrated by his handlers. So the real blame for these gaffs should be on the shoulders of others.
But occasionally he does say significant things that he really ought to be given personal credit for. An example is his declared desire to improve the civility in the House of Commons – to ensure that more respect is shown between Members and for the Institution. As proof of the potential impact of his actions to achieve this worthy goal, a high school teacher acquaintance tells me that whenever she shows a picture of our Prime Minister to her classes, students will commonly face his picture and emotionally recite the phrase Trudeau coined and loudly declared in the House of Commons to show respect to senior elected officials and to contribute to civility in our Parliament: “You’re a piece of ****” ! Or so I’m told in Hansard.
Doesn’t he make you proud to be a Canadian.

Liberals and Trudeau financial raping of Canada continues.

25% HST is just around the corner. Get ready to pay and pay and pay Canada – you voted for them and now you get them.

If anything I am surprised that liberals don’t do it more. No one ever seems to go to jail and the money doesn’t seem to get paid back when caught. If anything surprises me it is that the laws never get amended requiring these very penalties. That is the only way it will ever stop or at least drive it deeper underground.
