The Liberals have a new group of Canadians they're calling tax cheats. This time it's food and beverage servers drawing the ire of the Canada Revenue Agency for not declaring all their tips to the taxman.
Ben Murphy, COO of Murphy Hospitality Group in Charlottetown PEI told the PEI Guardian that dozens of his service staff have been slapped with tax bills and audits from the CRA. One server, already struggling with her student loan bills, was slapped with a whopping $15K tax bill.
The liberals are on a witch hunt, looking for "tax cheats" around every corner of middle class Canada.
They have already come after small business owners, craft market sellers, and farmers. But this time the Liberals are digging deeper and going lower, targeting minimum wage earners who are often students.
