Liberals use Toronto attack as excuse to censor the internet

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

On last night's show, I reported on the Liberals demanding increased internet censorship in the wake of the Toronto van attack.

Heritage Minister Melanie Joly wants "web giants" to crack down on "hate speech" and Employment Minister Patty Hajdu is tying the attack to the "alt-right".

I believe the "alt-right" is a form of white nationalism, but Alek Minassian isn't white. Neither was the half Malaysian Elliot Rodger, who inspired Minassian.

Months ago, Trudeau told Facebook that he'll introduce new regulations if they don't step-up their censorship of the news. It seems like the Liberals don't want to let a tragedy go to waste.

“Yep, a multifaceted reason is more than they can handle Tammie.”

I agree Liza.

….to control us and to twist and find a way to shame and blame Canadians for it.
Fkery and subjugation.

Censoring the internet to stop violence of any kind is a patently absurd solution and the government knows it. They will use these events as excuses to control us, as Ezra points out.

Yep, a multifaceted reason is more than they can handle Tammie. I should add for their benefit that I am not suggesting he may not have been sexually frustrated or part of a nasty woman hating group, or even has aspergers or some level of autism, but there is more to this story, things we are not being told(yet/ever?)

…….and then there is the truck issue. It may not be an ‘organized’ Islamic terrorist attack but the left declaring flatly that this had nothing to do with Islam before even the police have said that they have indeed ruled everything out, is premature, typical and strives to normalize this distinctly ABNORMAL occurrence in Canada (which has not, at least to date been perpetrated by any foundational Canadian people).

I maintain…….. truck attacks are Islam(ISIS) inspired.

I will not let go of that bone, no matter what authorities say. That fact can’t be sugar coated.
commented 2018-04-29 10:47:08 -0400
Liza, the narrative is – an insufferable virgin was radicalized by the internet is the reason this attack happened. Anyone who questions the things that don’t add up and points out the inconsistencies is considered a conspiracy theorist.
commented 2018-04-29 10:15:48 -0400
I refuse to normalize this attack by ignoring the obvious connection.
commented 2018-04-29 10:13:04 -0400
“Especially when that narrative is probably true. "
I don’t want somebody’s ‘probably’ I want proven facts.

I am weary of Islam. I feel sorry for Muslims. I love Apostates. I hope we can keep Canadians from being converted into this political/social/cultural ideology which seeks to change and make use of our country in all manner of ways which are offensive to most thinking Canadians.

If there had been no Islamic influence in this attack, there would have been NO TRUCK MASSACRE. That is just a fact. He may have been mad or deranged enough to find another way, but it would have taken more effort and whether deaths would have even occurred of course is a pointless debate, but it does cause one to pause.

Truck attack = Islamic influence
At the very least, if nothing else, by virtue of the fact that the idea came from somewhere, it had to of been inspired by previous truck attacks which have all been terrorist attacks by Muslims, hence the Islam connection.
Truck attacks were introduced by and repeated by one group, no one else used that form of murder. If Minassian has no connection to Islam in any other way(which has yet to be proven) there is still the fact that he chose a method which has only been used by radical Islamics previously.
I maintain, no truck = no massacre, and the truck is ISIS inspired to be accurate.

Especially when that narrative is probably true.

There is absolutely no reason to believe it’s Muslim, or Muslim inspired. He was radicalized, but not as a consequence of religion – the reports so far have him as irreligious. Frankly, the conspiracy mongering distracts from larger issues – such as the fact that this so-called “incel” community, a broad group where social alienation has lead to worrying, sometimes violent misogyny, is also exhibiting martyr-worship and the exact same sort of (supposedly justifiable) hate that drives terrorism. You’re so obsessed with Muslims that you’ve neglected to acknowledge that radicalization can originate in any number of motivations – socioeconomic frustrations being by far the most common.

You should know about rabbit holes Stephenson.
Any questions or counter to the approved narrative is a conspiracy theory to Wick and Stephenson types.
commented 2018-04-28 15:11:27 -0400
Wick, no time for you.

“Hard cold proof to the questions are the only thing that will change my mind.”
And what would that be, given that you’ll inevitably reject cold hard proof that debunks your conspiracy as fabrication?
commented 2018-04-28 14:17:50 -0400
The “left” aren’t inventing massive conspiracies based entirely on how a courtroom artist drew a buzzcut (because that means it was a different guy, a theory that explains precisely nothing).

Have fun with that though. Like I said, you’re simply discrediting your own cause further when you go down into bizarre rabbit-holes.

Justin didn’t even call the returning Islamic ‘foreign traveller’ terrorist in Edmonton, who ran people down with a truck, drove over a police officer and stabbed him repeatedly a terrorist attack. That was tidied up as much as possible as quickly as possible. They probably kicked themselves for not being able to stop letting out the attackers true identity. How can anyone be surprised that we are suspicious. Hard cold proof to the questions are the only thing that will change my mind. Fabrications and supposition just won’t cut it. Lets get the WHOLE story first please not the edited one.
commented 2018-04-28 14:04:21 -0400
Tammie, you make good points. The left are not able to digest anything other than the most simplistic PC narrative fed to them by the msm and the liberal government who interests are served by keeping facts from the public. Any one with questions is attacked. What a bunch of sheep. They will be the first driven off the cliff.

On the thread of the full show, I have already outlined my reasons (just a couple) for believing there is a cover up going on.

It explains the social alienation and resulting frustration, though it doesn’t explain how it bubbled over. It sounds like he was a rather extreme case, and probably other issues as well. It would be irresponsible to speculate too much though.

I’m mostly concerned about negative stereotypes arising out of it, though it’s heartening to see advocates speaking out.

He was frustrated and alienated, and became radicalized since he fell into a certain subculture on the internet. It’s hardly “excuse shopping” nor anything new – the term “deranged lone gunman” is sloppy but almost invariably arises from alienation and radicalization. The problem arises when unreasonable claims are made based on prejudice rather than facts. No, Islam is not the only way one can become radicalized. You can see it all over the place, there are flashes of it even here in the Rebels’ comment section – I’ve forwarded comments from this very site about murdering politicians to the RCMP.

Hmmm, why aren’t Liberals calling for much stricter controls re: driver’s licences and the ability to rent a van etc… for those folks with Asperger’s. Shouldn’t there be a database for anyone with this diagnosis?!!! Maybe a designated team to investigate anyone with Asperger’s who is looking to become a licensed driver….contact family doctor or therapist, neighbours, fellow students, employers…. Demand all passwords to sites so that the applicant’s history on- line can be thoroughly vetted. Don’t forget gaming comms.
Shouldn’t there be restrictions? Shouldn’t vans be considered very dangerous in the wrong hands?
commented 2018-04-28 12:34:10 -0400
Andrew, what do you think of reports saying he has Aspergers? We all know that being on the spectrum doesn’t make a person deranged….why is excuse shopping permitted so readily? Wonder if his neuro status made him easily manipulated by whomever!

Not even facts can get in the way of your prejudices, apparently.

He’s a textbook “deranged lone gunman” motivated by seething misogyny, except as a Canadian he couldn’t get a gun. They’re actually a far bigger problem in both countries than Islamic terrorists, although they don’t fit the narrative and escape the selective reporting that the right wing outlets employ.

Keep doing what you’re doing, it merely marginalizes your cause even further.

Liza, there is no point arguing with Johnny Goldfish, he is a Muslim apologist of the first degree. if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and quacks like a duck it’s anything but a duck. In fact his brain isn’t capable of anything more than 2 steps of thought process. He also don’t get that the opposite of right is wrong, in his case extreme wrong.

Good luck with that Wick.

Blowing yourself and others up is considered to be martyrdom. If he had died in a crash after he took out all the people on the street he would have had Allah’s approval. He was alive at the end of his rampage and according to the koran could not die by his own hand as that would have been considered to be suicide and that is forbidden. Don’t take my word for it, look it up.

You can no more say I am wrong than you are right. What I suspect, is more plausible than your popular pc narrative. I guess we’ll have to wait for all the facts because most Canadians aren’t buying the ‘official’ narrative the msm are repeating so far.
You just can’t handle anything but the most simplistic. Just too much to compute I guess. I know its a bother, but the motive just might be multi faceted.
commented 2018-04-27 23:35:37 -0400
You are as bad as arguing with Stephenson, but dumber.

Suicide is a sin in Islam. His ONLY way to virgins and a guaranteed lay, was murder by cop.
That is half the problem. People are IGNORANT about Islam.

’He who commits suicide by throttling shall keep on throttling himself in the Hell Fire (forever) and he who commits suicide by stabbing himself shall keep on stabbing himself in the Hell-Fire. (Bukhari, Janaiz 84)/

Nobody on the face of the earth is going to make me think or say that this attack was not tied to the ideology of Islam in some way. The media can continue to repeat and repeat and repeat that it was not. The john Wicks can repeat and repeat what ever it is they post and tweet.

This kid was radicalized and weaponized. It is a terrorist attack make no mistake. These domestic terrorist attacks are not well understood so it is easy for the left and our opportunistic lieberal government to manipulate narratives to suit their needs. Just like they did with the Mosque attack coincidentally just before they rolled out the m103 smack on our freedoms. We still don’t have the facts of that case, but we all know there was more they are not telling.

They can power spray the sidewalks and tidy up the murder scene, they can tell us lies which reflect the acceptable narrative, but until they can give me some hard cold facts backed up with proof, not just what they want me to say and think. I will continue to suspect the root of this attack. There is nothing definitive to prove it was not related to Islamic ideology, whether by degrees of separation or not.

The investigation isn’t even complete and we have jerk offs like Wick saying there are facts and proof. Interesting how that does not work. The left just like to rally quickly around the ‘correct’ narrative, which as far as they are concerned needn’t be based on proof, or they would WAIT for it all to come in. Nothing is confirmed by anyone I trust and last I heard the police are not ruling anything out.
commented 2018-04-27 20:47:48 -0400
John Wick must believe that despite Minassian being born in 1993, he spent his entire Armenian Christian life trying to emulate the Muslim killer, Gamil Gharbi, who shot himself in 1989. Both have identical biographies according to Libtard media. Statistical chance of that is virtually ZERO.
commented 2018-04-27 19:51:39 -0400
John Wick Goldfish is one of those useful idiots that will go out of it’s way to lay down the red carpet for the guys that will behead him.
