Library and Archives Canada has acquired World War veteran Wolverine's declassified journals

This is awesome.

Library and Archives Canada posted an amazing April Fools Day image to Facebook and its official website recognizing the famous Marvel comic book character's contributions to Canada.

In a fake news release, they announce that “Library and Archives Canada’s major acquisition of the declassified journals and military records of Canadian supersoldier James "Logan" Howlett.”

The post continues saying that, “Logan was born in 1882 in Cold Lake, Alberta, Canada, to wealthy landowner Elizabeth Howlett and her grounds-keeper Thomas Logan.

Logan’s journals provide valuable insight into his early life in Canada, including work as a miner in a British Columbia stone quarry, a fur trader for the Hudson's Bay Company, and a homesteader in the Canadian Rockies. His military career spanned multiple conflicts, making his personnel records an unprecedented study in Canadian military history. Logan was gravely wounded in action many times, and gained a reputation as a gritty survivor.”

Also included are a series of 'quick facts' which can be viewed at this link.

Well played!

Whoever the staff member of the Library and Archives Canada that did this is, he or she are going to be in big trouble. It is stated that, “His military career spanned multiple conflicts,…Logan was gravely wounded in action many times…” This implies that Canada was in a combat mission.

We all know that in the regressive Liberals’ historical view, that Canada has ever been a peace keeping nation and not a nation that has ever gone to war. Battles like Vimy, Dieppe, Hon Kong, the Korean Hill (can’t remember the name), Medoc Pocket, Afghanistan, etc are just figments of the imagination. Never happened, even as far back as 1812 we were just peace keepers.

The regressive liberals will definitely see this April Fool’s joke as being in bad taste, and the poor historian will either have to quit or go to a re-education camp.
