It seems London's Muslim mayor would rather have women wearing burkas than bikinis.
Sadiq Khan announced on Monday that “body shaming” advertisements are no longer allowed on public transit.
“As the father of two teenage girls, I am extremely concerned about this kind of advertising which can demean people, particularly women, and make them ashamed of their bodies. It is high time it came to an end,” Khan said.

So, Khan doesn't like women who look pretty?
“Nobody should feel pressurised, while they travel on the Tube or bus, into unrealistic expectations surrounding their bodies and I want to send a clear message to the advertising industry about this,” he added.
While Khan did not say exactly what ads would be banned, he posted a news story featuring a woman in a bikini on his Twitter to promote the new ban on “body shaming”.

The ad in question was for 'Protein World' and features a woman in a bikini that asked “are you beach body ready?”
70,000 people signed a petition opposing the advertisement.
