Lorrie Goldstein: When liberals say a politician "lacks nuance," that just means "He doesn't agree with me"

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

Veteran Sun columnist Lorrie Goldstein came on my show to compare the media's coverage of Justin Trudeau's first three months as PM with their treatment of Stephen Harper.

These differences reveal a profound disconnect between the Media Party's worldview and that of so many Canadians.

For example, shouldn't the media be livid that Canada hasn't been invited to the Paris meeting of the coalition against ISIS?

"Remember how the liberal media went nuts when we lost a seat at the UN Security Council?" asked Goldstein. "Something that people like me probably thought was Canada's finest hour? But if it's important to engage in the international community, then why is it so important when it's the UN Security Council but it's unimportant when you have a coalition led by the United States, trying to figure out" the root causes of the Syrian refugee crisis?

Your headline reminded me of my favorite line from the movie Planes Trains and Automobiles when Steve martin is trying to offer consolation to an overly talkative chronic screw up Del Griffith played by the late John Candy. He concedes that “you certainly are unique” to which Del Griffith quips “what’s that Latin for asshole”.

I wanted to give Trudeau a chance. I tried to park my conservative bias at the door. I cannot respect this Prime Minister. This guy is the punch line to a really bad joke. Or, maybe he is the joke and Canadian citizens are the punch line. This guy is embarrassing. I am thinking of those T-shirts that say ’I’m with stupid’. Someone should do a T-shirt with Trudeau’s face on it that says ‘we are all with stupid’. If anyone does make that T-shirt I have a feeling it will do well in Alberta.

I don’t think is has a thing to do about who our leader is. Media all over the world says Canada’s PM is a young, good looking breath of fresh air. It is the Media who decides. In these days and age, is there anyone actually recording the truth about what is going on or is the future going to call this time period the Second Dark Ages?
We’re in deep poo poo

If it had been Harper at the helm the entire Canadian media would have been screaming for his over throw.

Typical lib – I am beginning to dislike a lot of Canidiots.

“Lacking nuance” is a term that lacks nuance. It could refer to anything over a range, from someone that uses a slightly outdated PC term, to Donald Trump’s willfully casual relationship to the truth. I’m not sure it means a lot.

Trudeau has the mind of a ten year old child and should be treated as such. He is most certainly not fit to run this country. He is worse than Wynne and Notley combined.

If he is not stopped, Canada will cease to exist, as we know it. Send him to Syria and let him play with his Muslim friends, this is all he is fit for.

Ah, but Lorrie, our illustrous emperor already knows the "root causes’ of terrorism! So Canada did not need to be present. Let’s get with the “Hug-a-Thug” program to combat ISIS.

United Airlines was considering a purchase of about 50 Bombardier C-series airliners, but they announced today that their order has gone to Boeing, all because of idiot comments made by our “star-quality” PM whose celebrity is so admired by the CBC and all the ladies.

During the election Trudeau stated repeatedly that the Liberals would be developing new specifications for a replacement for Canada’s CF 18s and that the Liberals would not accept bids for Lockheed Martin’s F35. Not only was this a stupid thing to say, because it is in violation of our free trade agreement with the USA, but it slammed the door to any C-series orders from USA airlines and from all the countries like Canada who agreed to purchase and have spent millions of dollars in developing the F35. Trudeau and his mouth have cost Canadian jobs. From a man who has never worked a day in his life and has lived off an inherited trust fund, don’t think he gives two shits about people losing their jobs.

The Liberals have since had their chain yanked and have backed off and said Lockheed Martin can bid the F35, but it is too late, the damage has been done. Nobody trusts Trudeau or the Liberals. Such are the consequences of electing a part-time, substitute drama teacher to be our PM.
