(FLASHBACK) Maclean's "grotesque" Omar Khadr cover is "propaganda"

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

(Originally published November 4, 2015) Have you seen the cover of the new Maclean’s magazine? That’s Rinelle Harper sitting down — she’s the Aboriginal woman who was attacked and left for dead in Winnipeg.

She became a symbol for racist violence against Aboriginal women — though her alleged attacker was himself Aboriginal.

That girl on the right is Amanda Lindhout. She was a waitress who decided she wanted to be a war reporter in Afghanistan, Iraq and Somalia; she was kidnapped by Muslim terrorists and tortured and raped repeatedly.

So you’ve got two innocent women who were brutalized by violence and would never hurt a fly.

And then you’ve got Omar Khadr standing behind them, with a huge grin on his face.

Omar Khadr is a confessed, convicted Al Qaida terrorist. He plead guilty to five charges of war crimes. He murdered Sgt. Christopher Speer, leaving Tabitha Speer a widow, and their two children, Taryn and Tanner, fatherless.

Omar Khadr has never renounced Al Qaida or said that he regrets what he did.

Here’s how Maclean’s describes him, though:

"Omar Khadr was imprisoned in Guantanamo, captured in 2002 by American forces in Afghanistan and charged with war crimes.”

So, no mention of the murder he confessed to or his conviction for war crimes.

Would Maclean’s magazine put a smiling, chatty Paul Bernardo on their cover, and say, "he’s suffered so deeply in prison — all because he was charged with crimes."

Both are pathological murderers. Why the celebrity treatment?

This isn’t journalism.

This is propaganda.

READ The Enemy Within: Terror, Lies, and the Whitewashing of Omar Khadr, Ezra Levant’s new book about domestic terrorism and radicalization.

Terrorist Omar Khadr’s relaxed bail conditions are a threat to public safety.

My mom dumped McClean’s Magazine years ago when it stopped being a woman’s magazine.

I can hardly wait until the useful idiots get their reward from these fanatics.

Terry go ask Khadr how to dress or his family. THe Niqab is not religious , it is the oppression and subjugation of women and as much an identifier as what the nazis forced Jews to wear. But i guess you cannot understand reality.

Bravo Zulu well said, the people like Terry live in their safe basements with little clue as to what others face.
commented 2015-11-04 20:18:02 -0500
If he ever blows up the CBC headquarters then i will support him.

Terry sorry he is a trained terrorist. And when has he ever renounced his actions or Jihad? You are pretty lost. If he does commit another act i hope you are right in the line of fire.

Jack Carter when did most Canadians say any such thing. Your bigotry is showing.

They Media Party would put whomever or whatever on their covers that they could in order to achieve their ends. That’s their morality. The end befits the means. An aspect of Marxism.
Equating the self-confessed murderer, terrorist and traitor – Khadr, with the equally evil Bernardo is quite appropriate.
They are both evil, despicable monsters, betrayers, exploiters and degenerates – acted out in different ways maybe, but still consciously evil, one as bad as the other – all hair-splitting, Philadelphia lawyer BS aside. What didn’t Khadr get caught for, previous to his confessed crimes?
I think there must be some kind of a ‘fix’ in the election process lately. Propaganda, social engineering, conditioning, brainwashing, indoctrination, or whatever else ’they’ve’ cooked up, seems to have had a concerted effect on the sharp turns our various Western cultures and countries have taken in the last few decades, as it has escalated to today’s near social and political anarchy. Because the alternative to the rather paranoid conspiracy-theory sounding ‘the fix is in’ scenario is, that so many people have gone so insane…

Shame on you, MacLeans. I am so sick of our leftist media: the CBC, CTV and Glabal News, The Globe and Mail, the local rags that all just print and spew libgaga fluff and always include photos of women and children in their Syrian “refugee” stories; even The National Post is moving left. Thank the Lord for the Rebel and the Canadian Free Press.

Regarding Ezra’s point, I agree entirely. Omar Khadr may have been a "child soldier’ when he killed and wounded those men, but he is an adult now; and a well spoken one at that. He has never expressed any remorse or any shame. He has only ever expressed pride in what he did.

Guy Fraser said “I am getting tired of those Lefty Idiots and hoped they would leave.”

I say – as long as you continue to engage them rather than ignore them, they will never leave. Nothing you can say will enlighten them or change their minds. It’s better just to skip over their posts. They are delighted when you fall into their trap. I have seen other posts by left leaning folks that are thoughtful, considered and respectful. Those are people you can debate with. You maybe won’t change their minds either, but you won’t feel soiled afterwards.

So explain why he is in a position that he can see the light of day – never mind wear nice clothes on the cover of a magazine with two victims that clearly have no problem with him.

“But, what’s with the inclusion of a photo of a Star of David yellow cloth patch with “Jude” printed in the center that was forced onto Jews by the Nazis.”) in providing the link to your photo collection.”
That illustrated a blog post about what happens when governments start telling people how they can and can’t dress on the basis of religion.
But I’m surprised I’d have to point that out to a good Lutheran.

Peter Netterville – Without answering all those stupid questions, I can answer your points.
1) In Canada if a 15 year old killed a paramedic coming to his aid after he was shot at the scene of a crime, he could be Prosecuted as an Adult, if Convicted Sentenced as an Adult, put in Juvenile Detention and when he turned 18 remanded to the Adult Prison.
2) If Omar Khadr was being held against his will, he would have surrendered and asked for asylum when the compound was breached rather than continue trying to kill the person coming to his aid.
End of story!
Don’t believe the Lefty Idiots supporting those Midevil Bastards who make snuff films and rape little girls and goats.

Jack Carter said, “So you don’t think pressure from his father and family on a child has anything to do with it?”

And how do you know that it did have any effect? That same argument could be used for anyone of any age. Teenagers, if anything, are defiant and go against their parents’ wishes, if you really want to get into the “oh, he was so young and innocent that he fell victim to the wishes of his parents and family!” argument. He even stated that he wanted to throw the grenade while he was at Gitmo. He said he was proud of killing Christopher Speers.

They all look pretty happy to be together on that cover.
commented 2015-11-04 16:48:06 -0500
How come the women on the cover don’t have a problem posing with him?

One or both of them could have easily said that they won’t do the shoot with him there if they feel as you all do.
commented 2015-11-04 16:45:26 -0500
I guess being from Moron-trial is why you are so stupid Jack.

commented 2015-11-04 16:40:20 -0500
Jack his dad was killed. Ya mom sister and the one live jihadi probably did. Our money even paid for his ticket. Are you admitting Islam teaches kids to be killers???
commented 2015-11-04 16:40:02 -0500
Haha, stupid Jack Carter just admitted he is a lefty troll!
Guy Fraser said `lefty trolls on this site are disgusting. They Hate the Men and Women who volunteered’
Jack Carter responded `When did anyone say that they hate men and women who serve? I take everything case by case’
Haram Akbar Goat Humper!
commented 2015-11-04 16:37:24 -0500
Rudden idiot you completely overlook the reference to the 2 victims of violence posing on the cover. Bernardo would be a great fit don’t you Think?
commented 2015-11-04 16:35:33 -0500
Voss the Pig and Stalker: even the regulars here agreed you behaved like a swine. Which you are. But no worries, Ron. You’ve set the bar. Please stand by.

So you don’t think pressure from his father and family on a child has anything to do with it? I am quite sure if he had YOUR parents, he would have been a wonderful boy.
