Mainstream media ignores Antifa violence in Charlottesville

Rebel Staff

On last night's show, I discussed the recent violence in Charlottesville with Breitbart's Raheem Kassam.

Conservatives and President Trump have called out neo-Nazis and the alt-right for their racist and violent acts, but the left has refused to acknowledge the actions of Antifa.

Hard leftists and communists marched into Charlottesville with bats, pepper spray, bottles of urine, with the intention of starting a riot.

WATCH our discussion to see how the Governor of Virginia is ignoring evidence that Antifa is inciting violence, and why Raheem thinks it's like we're living in Orwell's 1984.

Peter, I reiterate, the people that got run down had nothing do to with Antifa. It’s a bogeyman. They were likely there, but it’s disingenuous to pretend the counterprotest wasn’t mostly grassroots… which of course means that Antifa is actually something of a strawman.

Janice Kay,

The right to free speech does not mean the right to unchallenged free speech. Both sides were equally entitled to be there.

Law abiding citizens don’t drive cars into crowds.

This debate is between groups who have different beliefs about the law. One side, the Left has no problem breaking the law and preventing legal entities, no matter how reprehensible their message from exercising their constitutional right to assemble and speak without harassment. The other side, the Right believes in upholding the law. Jordan Peterson in his videos, explains how each side is different, and it explains what we see happening today.

Personally, I prefer to live among people who observe the law. White Supremacist Richard Spencer has a very small following, basically because although he has some sound ideas in his manifesto on the environment, the family and foreign policy, his desire to somehow live in an all white world, makes him a nut job, that is unless he buys an island somewhere. If I were in charge of things, I’d ignore Spencer and his buddies until they caused more problems than the Far Left has so far.

Yup Antifa is the most moral and upright group that has ever existed since the beginning of time. Right, Andrew?

Antifa flyer advocates the murder of White children

This is what happens when you don’t discipline your children! They turn out to be psychopathic bullies, who think they should be able to control everything and everybody. They are criminal thugs!

Why refer to them as mainstream media when they are nothing but a collectivist group of seditious bastards who have formed a cabal to take down Trump . So far a bloodless coup but a coup attempt just the same. When did they form this cabal? About ten minutes after Trump was declared the winner. They did the same to Nixon and Ford and Reagan and both Bush senior and junior. Hateful leftists and liars like Brian Williams and Dan Rather.
The media is Antifa and BLM . They just hide behind the facade of journalism when in reality they want a one party system with no opposition. They don’t cover the socialists, they are the socialists.
Whatever name you give them, stop referring to them as mainstream. Unless communism is now mainstream which is scary. Venezuela and Cuba come to mind.

For Andrew the judge jury and executioner.

I’m sure there are all sorts of wild conspiracies out there to allow the alt-right to dodge culpability. For that to make sense, he would have already had to have driven into the middle of the crowd, or sit idly as they built around him until suddenly something triggered him. Given the narrative’s that “Antifa” came specifically to cause trouble, it seems hard to believe he just sat passively as a bat-wielding crowd built up around him and only suddenly became threatening to the point he felt running them down was the best bet.

By the way, 4chan /pol is very aggressively alt-right. I would not consider them reliable considering where their sympathies lie.

Fraser, do you feel “free speech” should require a permit (ie, only at the government’s approval?). If that’s all you’ve got … it’s pretty weak. What actually happened here? There is a very clear discrepancy in who did what.

As for the helicopter crash, you counter protesters would not be there had it not been for the white nationalists, and thus proximate cause cannot be placed solely on them.

What trouble did they cause? Again, it seems like the Right is yelling about Antifa in the hopes nobody notices they’re covered in blood. “It’s not my fault I killed her, it’s her fault for being in my way”.

Yes Andrew. A jar of piss.
Now just exactly why would anyone show up at a protest as an uninvited “counter protester” with a bottle of urine? And why would anyone bring a bat(s)? Pepper spray? And wear a mask to boot?

Protection I guess, in the event Antifa and BLM started something.

Grow up son.

Andrew you forgot all the police officer that have been killed by the alt left. The 2 police officers that died in the helicopter crash the alt left should take the blame as they had no permit to be there they went there to cause trouble, they succeeded.

Let’s see here.

Alt-right: Murdered one person, severely injured ~19 more.
Alt-left: Had “jars of urine” and intention of starting riots (not actually doing anything, just intent).

Yeah, real moral equivalency there. This is just plain old apologism for the cause you’re pretending not to support.
