Last week I brought you the story that Jason Kenney had appointed a carbon tax propagandist named Mark Cameron to be his deputy minister in the policy office.
The appointment of Mark Cameron from the carbon tax lobby group, Canadians for Clean Prosperity, flies in the face of the anti-carbon tax, pro-business agenda that swept Jason Kenney and his UCP into power in Alberta just a few short weeks ago.
In that video, I showed you how Mark Cameron has ties through his organization to the very people who fund Tides Canada. I made the case for Jason Kenney to fire Mark Cameron, and replace him with a policy wonk more aligned with the values of Albertans.
But that was me making the case.
Today I'll let Mark Cameron tell you why Mark Cameron shouldn't be working for an anti-carbon tax government.
Today I'll show you some of that interview and you can hear from Mark Cameron in his own words. He readily admits that he doesn't think tax and Canadians will affect the weather, but he wants a Canadian carbon tax anyway.
Cameron also admits that he was a pro-carbon tax registered lobbyist in Alberta during Rachel Notley's time in power.
I'm cheering for Jason Kenney to hit the ground running and undo all the damage the NDP has done to Alberta over the past 4 years. That means choosing the right people for the job. Cameron is not that person.
