Mark’s reference to John Cleese grabbed my attention because I have always subscribed to the theory that humour was probably invented by cave people sitting around the campfire, joking around about each other’s differences. We were still doing this when I was a teenager in the 70s. It was a late spring routine where I grew up on Canada’s east coast for our friends with “permanent suntans” to tease the blue-eyed blond people like me about our seasonal boiled-lobster complexions and guess what? NOBODY ever got offended by this.
Many would say those days are gone forever but I doubt that. The pendulum always swings back.

Just a FYI Mark. Check out Paul Weston’s website, Liberty GB. It is the Liberty GB party’s website, covering news pertaining to British and Western politics, culture, Islamization, etc. I’m sure you would find it interesting. Cheers.

Tommy points out the dramatic change in thinking about Islam subsequent to 9-11 with George Bush declaring that ‘Islam is a religion of peace’. While referencing the position of previous leaders like Churchill, noteworthy that early in the 16th the Protestant reformer, Martin Luther, stepped forward to warn about appeasing Islam in his writing.
With Islam poised to overrun Christian Europe, Luther wrote On War Against the Turk, about 500 years ago in 1529. In it he wrote, "I have some pieces of Mohammed’s Koran which might be called in German a book of sermons or doctrines…When I have time, I must put it into German so that every man may see what a foul and shameful book it is…it has been commanded to him (Muhammad) to bring the world to his faith and if the world is not willing, to compel it or punish it with the sword… the Turk’s Koran, or creed, teaches him to destroy not only the Christian faith, but also the whole temporal government…Their government, therefore, is not a regular rulership, like others, for the maintenance of peace, the protection of the good, and the punishment of the wicked, but a rod of anger and a punishment of God upon the unbelieving world as has been said.”
