Disarming police officers on campus fosters a "safe and inclusive environment," says Board of Trustees

After a vote by the Board of Trustees, the Massachusetts College of Art and Design will keep their campus police force unarmed. It's for safety's sake, or something.

I’m sure the strong voices and personalities of these campus cops will prevail in any situation…. Or maybe NOT??

Actually it creates a gun free zone that can be infiltrated by several terrorists who would destroy the whole complex & every soul in it whereas they wouldn’t be as likely to attack sitting ducks guarded by flesh ripping eagles and falcons armed to kill. Being honest . The minute any person gives up their right to defend themselves they have lost their Liberty & freedom . That is why power dictators do not want people to be in a position to defend themselves.

At least this lunacy is good for a laugh.

I agree. This is an open invitation for a crazed shooter to kill at will. What a real-life video game this will be for a deranged nut. And when it does happen, the usual suspects will be screaming for tighter gun restrictions on law-abiding citizens who would never shoot up a school of any sort.

IF I was some crazy lefty that got hold of some weapons somehow, I would definitely be heading to the GUN FREE ZONE that is Massf Art, for some serious and easy killing!
Thanks for the heads up Board of Trustees…
You lefty gun grabbers may get my guns but you’ll never get me! Bwahahahaha.

The stupidity infesting the world is truly breathtaking. An unintended consequence is that anyone with the propensity to take many lives could now be drawn to this campus like a magnet. The funny thing about deterrents is that those who want to commit serious offences are going to look for victims and scenarios with the least likelihood of risk or consequences to themselves.

Maybe when the next school shooting happens there, they can just ask the shooter if he would prefer to go the snowflakes safe room?

These people are beyond absurd.

A firearm in the possession of a well trained police officer is as benign as a banana or apple he may have in a lunch bag.
It’s absurd and dangerous to give the faculty and students of a college a false sense of security when the opposite exists with their wacky ideas on the danger of firearms.

CHARRED REMAINS, agreed.. Lock and load people… Everyone should have the right to own a Firearm.. Including Handguns… And you are correct. In States where the Citizens have a right to bear arms (concealed or otherwise), crime does drop significantly… Texas and Colorado come to mind. I’ve been to both…
