Maxime Bernier hires former anti-oil sands activist

Keean BexteRebel Contributor

Peoples Party of Canada leader Maxime Bernier has hired a fossil fuel divestor as an Electoral District Association (EDA) coordinator in his national party office.

Daniel Tyrie authored this opinion piece for The Waterloo Region Record — an opinion piece that shares many talking points with the eco-radicals you see on campuses these days — demanding the University of Waterloo pull more than $68 million out of “polluting companies” like Shell, British Petroleum, and Exxon Mobil.

At a time when oil companies are fleeing Alberta, like the US-based Devon Energy, companies like BP own three oil sands assets in the Athabasca basinMaxime Bernier has a staffer working for him that wanted companies operating in the oil sands to tank.

Alberta has a tough time being represented in Ottawa. Confederation has systematically oppressed the West, from equalization to the number of seats they have in Parliament – they are the country’s underdog. It’s part of the reason Alberta has been so excited about Maxime – he won the CPC leadership vote in Alberta by a landslide, he swept Calgary, most of Edmonton, and split the rural vote with Scheer.

But now we are seeing something different: Maxime Bernier —the "Albertan from Quebec" — hired an anti-oil sands activist, Tyrie worked closely with Fossil Free UW, a campus club hell-bent on stopping pipelines and suffocating Alberta. Bernier’s staff now features someone who believed — just eleven months ago — that because the University of Waterloo has money in energy investments, that it is “responsible for devastating our climate and our future.”

I contacted Daniel Tyrie about this, and he told me that he has since changed and that he was caught up in a sort of undergraduate climate hysteria. Tyrie said, “[He] now views fossil fuels and pipelines in particular as necessary for both economic stability and national unity in Canada.”

The PPC told The Rebel that they were not aware of the article written by Tyrie at the time he was hired. They added that Tyrie was with Maxime at the recent United We Roll convoy in Ottawa, and:

“There is no reason to doubt his beliefs, which in any case cannot have any impact on PPC policies as he is only involved on the organizational side and not on policies.”

Glenn Craig I listened to that pod cast about Bernier. I found it to be very informative and it confirms everything I’ve thought about revenge seeking Bernier from the start. Everybody should be aware that according to the guest on this pod cast Bernier signed a document that said he would not run against the conservative party in 2019. Nice to know there’s movements out there to purge the ppc from the political realm.

Charred Remains , How is the effort going to form a new provincial police force and retire the Mounties?

If nothing else, Max is forcing the CPC back over to the right. The CPC’s problem is, they only ever act out of fear. Not sustainable in a party, but could work in the short term if need be.
I am voting for Max, but anything could happen as far as results go.

Alberta may leave, but it won’t be anytime soon. There are a lot of things that need to be banged out and put in place before such a move could have any chance of survival. There will be wolves out there ready to take advantage and hoover the west up. We can’t just separate this instant, because we are frustrated and want to. We have to be realistic.

Remember this report from Keean? He is doing his job.
So will Max -
“When asked in Quebec as to what he wouid do to build a pipeline in face of opposition from Quebec, Bernier said he wouid do his best to negotiate and failing that he would use the federal powers under the constitution to make it happen.”

Having said that I wouldn’t rag on anyone voting CPC, far too many people I know plan to unfortunately, but that is their choice. Barring full on SJW, I am voting for the new guy who is going to respect the Constitution and de centralize this vast country so that it can function the way it was meant to.

Alberta NAT, you are regurgitating old stuff that other people have regurgitated. Its a new party. people like you are gunning for it. People have attempted to infiltrate it and been thrown out. There was talk between Max and Tim Moen from the very beginning about a joint venture. They found out very early that that won’t work. I have kept up on the jackals nipping at the heels of the PPC trying to take it down and it won’t work. I have perfect faith in Max’s character, not you or any infiltrator is going to change that. However as a new party the PPC is going to have growing pains. So go ahead and ambulance chase if it gets your rocks off, but the party isn’t bleeding.

The cpc attack dogs don’t make anyone want to join their party with the tactics they use.

Oh just BTW…at the meeting where I was acclaimed riding association vice president we had to sign forms disclosing our social media accounts lest SJWs play gottcha. I am not on FACEBOOK, TWITTER, or any of the other ones. I did disclose my activity in MGTOW

The fact that I post frequently HERE at theREBEL…

That apparently was not a problem….so far..

So are you going to vette ME….. Kean?

TROLL, don’t bother….nobody who I care about cares.

Max is all about Max, period. Scheer, 2019.
commented 2019-03-07 16:53:42 -0500
Max is all about pipelines. He knows what the core principals are and no kid is going to be changing that.

If you want to hear some insider information on the PPC listen to attached link.
Start at the 48 minute mark. There is info on libertarian infiltration, authoritarianism, buddy networks, max and his use of cpc membership information, max and his pledge not to run in 2019, max and his interactions with tim moen leader of the libertarian party and more.

TROLL…I got better things to do than research your pathetic attempts to muck rake and sew discord…I got a posse hot on my trail in Red Dead Redemption 2 for leaving a sufferagette hog tied in a whorehouse.

Besides it is no secret that the PPC has close ties with libertarians. Back when I was supporting Ken Weibe at BC FATHERS I was vetted for the fledgeling Libertarian Party (Ken Weibe was already a member) I declined at the time because I was working for the government and had enough political activity oversight to deal with.

So if being libertarian is bad…..wel I’m a BAAAAAD boy….(as the posse chasing after me will attest)…ah but hey…lot’s of girls find that irresistably sexy……;-)

I just don’t know, his twitter feed looks good enough. That article he wrote in his fourth year at Waterloo was dated last April though.

Maybe Keean can get an interview, or Sheila could do a sit down. If the air can be cleared it should be done quickly.

I’m going to follow him on twitter for awhile . He’s young, maybe he just stepped off the curb into traffic before he understood. We’ll see.

Thanks for the info Keean. This is war, and I’m not much in the mood for forgiveness or blind trust. This is the first I have heard of this and will have to check it out. All I know is that the optics of it are bad. In the west I am having enough trouble getting people I know to consider Max, because he is from Quebec. They literally have no trust of Quebec leaders, my Alberta friends especially. By the sounds of it, Max needs to read the Art Of War.

I appreciate this heads up and am off to find out more, so I can make a decision about it. I must say, that I do not like the way it sounds or looks.

While you are questioning the Conservatives about they wrong doings, feel free to ask them, if they were so concerned about the economy in Canada and protecting the jobs in Canada. Be sure to ask them, what was the benefit to Canada, once they sold off CN Rail, because now Canada has to pay more to the USA, just to move any of our own commodities across our own country, never mind the cost of moving them throughout the USA. Secondly you can ask them, how did selling or dismantling the Canadian Wheat Board benefit the Canadian farmers, because it now cost almost twice the cost to the farmer, that gets passed on to the general public, all because a couple of USA farmers in Alberta, wanted to sell their grains directly to the USA, as a result we Canadians all have to pay for these, mismanaged decisions and the benefits are going to the USA? WTF?

Max hired this guy for his talents not his opinions…Hopefully.

Billy Howard – exactly my thoughts! It should have been full disclosure by Tyre, because we all know how many snakes have infiltrated political parties.
commented 2019-03-07 13:42:31 -0500
The fact that PPC didn’t know about Tyrie’s opinions from less than a year ago, means he seems to have hid them in his interview for the job. If he is honestly claiming redemption, you would think he would have been upfront about his previous opinion pieces.
Possible progressive plant/spy?

Christina Hoff Sommers was a feminist professor.

Keane…this piece shows a petty vindictive mean streak on your part…and it has diminished YOU in my estime more than Daniel Tyrie.

Keane….Saul of Tarsus went from holding the cloaks of guys who stoned christian evangelists to being Paul the Apostle…’s called redemption.
