Maxime Bernier: The Rebel Live Calgary (Full speech)

Maxime BernierGuest Post

At The Rebel Live Calgary on November 10, 2018, People's Party of Canada leader Maxime Bernier spoke about his departure from the Conservative Party, what his new party stands for, and his plans for the next federal election.

Bernier believes his party is the only right-wing party in Canada and that political correctness is destroying the country. He claims that his tweets criticizing "radical multiculturalism" were condemned by the Conservative Party and he was told that "his ideas were not welcome".

Because Andrew Scheer regularly uses his social media to celebrate the independence days of foreign nations, Bernier thinks he's more interested in being the UN Secretary General than Prime Minister of Canada.

WATCH Bernier's FULL SPEECH to hear his plan to abolish foreign aid, integrate legal immigrants, pull Canada out of the UN Paris Climate Accord, and cut the CBC.

Note: conference organizers also sent an invitation to speak to Andrew Scheer, but he did not accept it.

Since our birth rate is so low, Muslims should be limited to 1 child per family. Life in prison for defiance. No parole.

KEITH AND HELEN HARVEY, limiting immigration is a good idea, but we should stop all Muslim immigration or at least reform welfare if we want to keep Canada Canadian. Our birth rate is 1.1 to 1.5 kids per family. I don’t remember the exact number. Muslims have an average of 5 kids per family.

Take in as many legal and screened immigrants that you want. If a quarter of a million is the number so be it. But keep in mind that the numbers will inevitably be bigger. And over time we will replace our population, culture and values. Most of those immigrants will still be Muslim and all laughing upon arrival. Because the trouble we fear, will still manifest itself and we will still be subjected to the very same conflicts within Canada. This will be a Muslim nation in the future, I think it will be well defined as such by 2030, if not before. Certainly any more Liberal Governments and that will come to be even sooner. In fact, if Trudeau has his way, he will exert great effort in the next year to flood us with third world illiterates. It is guaranteed that Canada will not recover from our commitment to immigration and with that comes divisiveness and racism. Not to mention the building financial drain on our economy. The ever decreasing level of competent trained service people in every sector of society, like our medical system, education system, etc. The quality of services will suffer and the availability of services will be reduced or take longer to acquire. With these immigrants, expect that they will continue bringing in more health related threats over and above the ones they have already brought, in recent years. And there is no doubt that the presence of terrorism will become part of the fabric of Canada, just like all those European nations. There is nothing in immigration that will benefit Canada, those who stand to come out ahead are the immigrants. Immigrants of yesteryear in no way resemble the immigrants of today. Before they came with gratitude in their hearts and a goal to adopt Canada as their new home and become Canadian. Today, they come with an agenda to turn Canada into their vision of what it should be and have our laws and culture switched to conform to their intolerant ideology. They have no intention of becoming Canadian. What should be done is legislate that all immigrants to Canada cannot exceed 10 percent of the population. There should of been a cap on immigration initiated a long time ago. Canada will come out the loser as evidenced by the rest of the worlds experience.

Liza R. Hope you don’t mind me moving this comment forward…100% agree.

Pay attention Andrew Stephenson, it would eliminate the need for STUPID questions like yours altogether. One more time——- Bernier has said EVERYONE is welcome as long as they want to keep Canada, Canada, assimilate and respect the western values of the country. The left seem to think those are unfair requests. To that I say too bad. If any people come here from any other place or culture to disrespect us, use us and take over, they are most decidedly NOT welcome. Hope that is clarification for you.

Max is inviting NDP voters into the PPC and he is the ONLY conservative party? Yeah ok LOL.
commented 2018-11-15 22:39:56 -0500
Max Bernier admits he is the ONLY conservative party. There I fixed it for you NDP SUCKS. What tweet are you referring to specifically in that twitter feed? I read down a ways and could not see anything like what you said.

Max thinks he is going to sweep the liberals and conservatives in the next election. I will save you some time on defining this statement. It is called a pipe dream. Bernier does not even register on polling surveys yet. Maybe Max should check himself into the local rubber room and inspected for delusional disorder.

wow I like Max. it has been so long since I have heard a politician speak in French or English that was not bland and with out substance. Max covered more in 30 minutes than turdo in 3 years.

PAUL MILLER commented, “Good speech, but I wish Max would’ve mentioned more things including pulling out of the UN completely.” In his recent speech in Toronto he said he would stop funding the “dysfunctional U.N.”.

I think our “Mad Max” made a great speech in that he didn’t tap-dance around issues dear to the hearts of the PPC… Getting too hung up on his “delivery” or “accent” is a diversion, given that even a few months ago many Western Canadians would never have entertained the though of yet another prominent politician “from Quebec”… So, “quelle suprise”!… I am still waiting to find the origin of the US politician who intoned:- “The truth, when she is spoke, has a ring to it that cannot be denied”… Viva Max!

Paul Wells said Maxime Bernie’s supporters are the stupidest people on Twitter. That reminds me of Hillary Clinton calling Donald Trump supporters a basket of deplorables.

If the MSM will start criticizing Max as he becomes increasingly popular, I will take that as confirmation that I’m making the right choice. Anytime the MSM supports a candidate, it’s a red flag for me.

Good speech, but I wish Max would’ve mentioned more things including pulling out of the UN completely.

“with respect to police taking pictures of the licence plate at the Rebel event, one of the security guards the Rebel hired told me that they did this in case of any vandalism to the cars.”
- Ron Voss

Yeah, right. It looks like they want to put conservatives on a watch list. What benefit would a license plate have if someone smashes the car? Pictures should be taken of the attacker, not the car.

Barbara, Islam is more than a religion. It’s also a political system. Islam doesn’t separate mosque from state. You’re right about Muslims destroying Europe. It’s what they do everywhere they go. They even prayed at a dog park. I guess they want to complain about it to shut it down.

Re: Licence plates, Good line huh!
-————————

Andrew make of it what you will. Like I said before, it doesn’t matter what the truth is, the left will twist and convolute it to suit their agenda. Fill yer boots Andrew, but try to understand that there is a difference between cultural practices and religion, and a difference between religion and political agenda. We should not be accommodating cultural practices which cannot co exist with a civilized society, or allowing a theocratic ideology to dictate in our country or hide under our freedom of religion umbrella. People should come to Canada because they like the Canadian way, not to try to fashion Canada into the place they left behind.

When asked what Max Bernier would do for the Muslim community he said, absolutely nothing special. He said he would treat all Canadians as Canadian, and wouldn’t recognise any special interest groups. Max says for example, that the Pride parade is fine, but that he would not let it be taxpayer funded. He won’t pander to any group, but everyone is welcome.

The tweet is vague, probably deliberately so since one side or the other will get upset – but doesn’t really answer my question. “Western values” do seem to include freedom of religion within the vaguely-defined secularism Canadians tend to prefer, so if I squint really hard, and try to guess the answer, it’s probably, yes but only in principle. In practice, though? Rather more a toss-up.

Maurice you are so full of it, taking lessons from the resident liberal troll? Sure seems like it, you are the one with a reading and comprehension handicap apparently, you immediately started name calling like a full Lib attack and have the audacity to say it is I on the attack. You want an attack, fine I will give you one as you FALSELY claimed that I have so might as well correct that for you – if you think you are a Christian then you should get into show business as you have proven you are a funny man and anything but.

I agree, no chance of splitting the right wing vote. Go ahead and vote for Bernier.

Liza Rosie: “Its a bright place where everyone is treated with the same respect,”

Does “everyone” include Muslims?

WRONG, HYACINTHY!!! I have every intention of voting for Maxime Bernier’s party candidate in my riding if there is one. If not, I’ll probably vote for the Christian Heritage party candidate. If you can’t stand the heat, don’t make ad-hominem attacks. You started it. You attacked me first, I merely responded. I didn’t intend to respond to any further attacks from you but I just couldn’t let your vicious, unwarranted attack on my moral character go unchallenged. I believe its your moral compass that’s askew, not mine. This WILL be my last correspondence on this matter. Again, have a nice day.

LIZA ROSIE, I agree, “Bernier understands this. It’s the number one threat at the top of the list. Nothing else will matter if we don’t deal with it.”

From Bernier’s interview with Charles Adler, “But, I want the country to be the same 20 years from now. I don’t want us to have the challenges they are having right now in Europe with immigration… I think that I am the only politician who wants to have this kind of debate. It is important for the future of our country.” Bernier gets it.

Not a shocker that Maurice is proud of his vulgarity, nice advertisement as well for the conservatives – not. Looks like he intentionally wants people to vote Liberal.
