McDonalds preemptively suspends Ronald McDonald, due to “creepy clown sightings”

As a result of the pre-Halloween flurry of creepy clown sightings in North America, McDonald’s Corp. made a pre-emptive strike on itself and suspended beloved mascot, Ronald McDonald.

The Golden Arches issued a statement noting that the company was being “thoughtful in respect to Ronald McDonald’s participation in community events” as a result of the current climate around clown sightings in communities.”

McDonald’s didn’t wait for complaints, protests or boycotts of its products.

Rather, it got ahead of the story by suspending Ronald before any progressive could ask them to.

I think this is called “self-censorship” and McDonald’s Corp. simply beat the social justice warriors to the punch.

As we careen into 2017, I wonder what other fast-food mascots the progressives will find offensive and disturbing?

Give them time. They’ll come up with something.
