Catherine McCatechism? McKenna co-opts Lent to push pagan climate change agenda

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Host | The Gunn Show

Canada's Environment Minister, Catherine McKenna, co-opted a Christian holy day to push her pagan climate change agenda.

In a video she filmed while showing off her Shrove Tuesday meal of pancakes at an Ontario University, McKenna mentioned her meeting with the Pope a few years back to lend legitimacy to her Lenten sacrifice. She said she was “giving it up for climate change.”

What “it” is remains to be explained. It was catechism, McKenna style. And it was dead wrong.

Next time McKenna has the opportunity to meet with the Pope, she should ask for a quick refresher on the meaning of Lent. Billions of Christians around the world, myself included, regard these next 40 days as a baptismal season, a season of contrition and preparation.

Christians use Lent as a time of self-sacrifice to bring ourselves closer to the suffering of Christ. It's not about McKenna’s neo-pagan, climate change doomsday cult agenda of higher taxes on struggling Canadian families.

Who in their right mind thinks that way?

McKenna’s complete and total ignorance of the holy day aside, do you think that she would co-opt a Muslim holy day, completely misunderstand the concept behind it, and then use it to make an awkward video to push a political, pro carbon tax agenda?

Not in a million years. Even she’s not that dumb. The Liberals would consider that offensive. But Christianity is fair game.

Today I'll show you what McKenna said, why I think she is an ignorant hypocrite and why I think even her own staff must deeply dislike her.

McKenna’s Lent message missed the mark, not just because of the gross agenda she inserted into it, but also due to the public nature of the pronouncement of her Lenten sacrifice.

The Gospel of St. Matthew, chapter 6 verse 2 gives everyone, even secular types, some solid life advice about how to go about doing charity and good works:

“When therefore you give alms, do not sound the trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be honored by men.”

I can't wait to pull Catherine McKenna's travel expenses for the coming 40 days just to see how much she really did give it up for climate change this Lent.

Catherine McKenna is trying to gain Brownie Points with brown skinned Slammers. To Hell with Christ right,? Catherine.

How much more damage to the country can Liberals do, it is to be hoped that their voters can be made to see the truth of them, before the next election.

This is all the Liberals have left and Canadians just don’t care about this issue. Too bad, so sad. 😎✌
