Don’t like the carbon tax? Just buy a new car! That’s the latest lifestyle advice doled out by Environment Minister Catherine McKenna on CBC’s “The Current” when the host, in a rare act of good journalism, pushed back against the Liberal narrative about their new carbon tax.
But, the Tesla Model 3, probably the cheapest model, starts at about $45K.
Does McKenna really believe everybody has $45K to throw around to make Mother Government happy about their carbon footprint?
Well, if you don't have $45K to plunk down on a car manufactured by the subsidy suckers at Tesla, then you can just take public transportation from the suburbs every day — your convenience and precious time be damned!
I don't know about you, but I'm not going to take climate change seriously until the people who spend their lives fear-mongering about it, actually start living like they really believe the end is nigh.
