Media ignores ISIS inspired anti-Christian vandalism

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

On last night's show, I reported on the media's lack of coverage of an Ontario church that was vandalized with ISIS inspired graffiti.

The incident has received little attention, with the CBC relegating the story to the local news page on their website.

The perpetrators haven't been apprehended yet and I'm open to the idea that this was a hoax, but I can't help but think that if this was a mosque, the story would receive national attention from outraged leftists.

Jay Kelly, post some substance please, where are your citations for the claims you make?!

If it were a Mosque attacked by vandals the media would be more likely to cover it. To be fair, if it were a synagogue the media would be even more anxious to cover it, describing it in every detail.

But a Christian church? We need to keep in mind that most reporters in Canada are of Christian background. Something like 95% of main stream media reporters in Canada are of Christian background. There is the sense among those reporters that they do not have to cover stories of anti-Christian graffiti because it is just part of who we are as a nation, or that Christians can look after themselves.

We should be more vigilant. Muslims are in the same boat as Jews in Canada. An attack on one is an attack on the other. That 95% who are thrilled that Sikhs are part of government because they look so good in their turbans can be patronizing to Muslims, Jews, Hindus, Sikhs, and others.

Ezra Levant should be more careful. In order to gain subscriptions he sometimes tries to whip up the politics of division. We are in it together.

I’ve always wondered why do conservatives hate the free press to a very radical degree? We should all be proud of it. (except CBC). It’s not perfect but it’s not really as bad or slanted as right wing shills or the president make it out to be. Conservatives don’t hate it because it’s liberal. They hate it because it’s not politically partisan in they’re favour. Many radicals hate it because they’re antisemitic. I don’t think it’s something to get bent over. Fucking relax for fucks sake.

Editorial cherry picking, spin, strawman arguments, prejudiced conclusions and generic talking points from conservative think tanks just like always.

Considering the attacks of the media and the public on the Rebel, maybe Ezra Levant should spend less time looking at the CBC nd more time defending his rather conservative media outlet.

Andrew where are the round tables about hate crimes?
commented 2017-09-02 00:17:43 -0400
Andrew you think those stories are reported the same way? You are a fool. 2 of those are local news, and show me where CBC reported the attack on the Jewish family in Calgary. Oh right you can’t, because they never covered it, not even locally.

I said usually, not universally. You’ve found three examples, going back three years. I can tell you for a fact that a hell of a lot more than three mosques have been vandalized since Oct, 2014.

Balder, MB

Gee, seems church vandalism is pretty well covered.

Andrew Stephenson when the double standard is turned on you do not look to others for blame, look in the mirror.
commented 2017-09-01 19:42:07 -0400
Andrew why are the cops calling it mischief and not a hate crime like it would be the other way around?
Oh yeah, double standards.

Andrew Stephenson LMAO! Yeah if you say so.

If it’s in the news, it’s not being “ignored”. It’s not national news, and no, vandalism of mosques usually doesn’t receive national coverage either.
