Meet Wade MacLauchlan: PEI's new Liberal premier -- and "Mohammed cartoons" censor

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

The Liberals just elected a new premier. Perhaps fittingly, Liberal Wade MacLauchlan is a small man for a small province.

When PEI university students printed the "Mohammed cartoons" in their paper, MacLauchlan ordered every copy seized and destroyed.

The PEI Islamic Association didn't call on MacLauchlan to do this. They were the ones supporting the Canadian values of free speech and separation of mosque and state.

Instead, it was Wade MacLauchlan who acted like a petty, thuggish dictator.

Cory Schreyer – Are you suggesting that both Ezra and David went to the same event in Texas? If so, I think you are mistaken. If you are referring to Ezra going to Texas to discuss fracturing, someone from the media has to discuss this in a reasonable manner. Canada has so many people who are against fracturing for whatever reason (a good number are paid foreign protesters or are paid by foreign protesters) – some people prefer to live in a have not province instead of making use of the natural resources in the land. BTW, the Rebel Staff can’t go everywhere – they don’t get the 1 BILLION + $$$$$$$$$ that the CBC gets ANNUALLY.

I’ve said it before and will do so again. It will be up to the common folk, not the politicians whether we choose to submit to Islam. WWIII is on the horizon. When it finally breaks out in unfettered ferocity, people like this former professor will need to removed from power, lest we all be sold out. If democratic process is denied, then other options will need to be explored. The reason Liberals hate the military so much, is in Western Societies, the military is drawn from the common population and thusly holds many of the same values as the general populace. Additionally, their allegiance is sworn to us, not politicos. By the time push comes to shove, I suspect our military will be far more involved in this conflict against radical Islam then they are now.

I don’t like the fact that the media, including The Rebel, ignored the election in PEI. Why did both Ezra and Menzoid have to travel to Texas recently? At least one of them, or someone else, could have gone to PEI at least once before May 4th instead. PEI might not be as big as Alberta in terms of population or geographical size but they are still part of our country, so I want to know what’s going on there too.

Once again – Wade MacLauchlan – a liberal /socialist pig aligning with the islamic terrorists and crapping on Christians.
So many examples of the lefty socialist/liberals that want no religion at all (conditional free speech) setting two sets of rules to stifle Christianity.
Orwell had it right – not premier, but more accurately PIG Wade MacLauchlan.

Prof. MacLauchlan was a law school professor at Dalhousie and Dean of Law at UNB, so he is no stranger to restrictions on speech and association. This scolding nursemaid style will make him an ideal candidate for Chief Justice of the SCC should the Liberals find themselves back in power in Ottawa.

Saying something that might get someone killed is hate speech.
Saying something that might get yourself killed is truth speech.

Typical “liberal” fascism, especially by those in university administrations (which is to say nearly all of them) and the media (nearly all of it). They show no understanding whatever of the principles of free expression.

Joan I got plenty of hits.
I don’t care at all for the Liberals. However making fun of the followers of Mohammed by making dumb cartoons that everyone knows will offend is not free speech but an attempt to humiliate. International terrorists wanting a caliphate must be destroyed like all totalitarian dictatorships. It looks to me though not much is being done about it. Instead we provoke and humiliate.

Following the election MacLauchlan stated that he was eager to “engage” with “other political parties around ways in which we can be sure that the voters can have confidence in the democratic process” I’ll believe it when I see it. For the time being I remain skeptical.

The lack of transparency that stems from the ongoing conniving antics of politicians and bureaucrats is the main reason for the growing public skepticism and distrust in the political system at large. Indeed, the electorate is getting fed up with the incessant manipulation of the truth and tyrannous strong-arm dictates that fail to respect the integral rights of individual taxpayers, and parents.

Transparency without honesty is little more then BS lip service!

Wade was in bad company censoring those cartoons. I tried to print copies off the Internet and was shocked when I typed “Muhammad cartoons” into the google search engine and got “no hits”. All that controversy and no hits? Yeah right. So I tried yahoo and again, no hits. Then I tried (not and got a few hits. I managed to print the cartoons off someone’s personal blog but it crashed the computer. I was at the library so the reference librarian witnessed when the computer rebooted and on the screen was a message that said “this material is offensive; tell your server”. Quite the chill. And that sort of thing happened all the time to those uf us poking around that sort of taboo topic. Around that same time when the director of our local crimestoppers spoke up at a public meeting and said he thought George W. Bush was the best president the USA ever had. I seriously thought he might lose his head. Things are a little better now but only because of what the Harper government has managed to do. A liberal government in Canada would be a disaster.

Sounds like the kind of man who would do well in the kind of government that Trudeau praised awhile back in Toronto: Communist China.

Just about all of the provincial public service here are graduates of his sociology department…..hardly any male employees in it…all the men have to go to the oil patch for work….nepotism abounds…and the highest provincial income tax rate in Canada is just bound to get higher. Not to mention that he is indeed the prince of political correctness…..but at least he isn’t a divorce lawyer.
