Election debate without Justin Trudeau was "pointless"

David MenziesMission Specialist

Pointless: Given that the 2019 Canadian federal election is a two-horse race, most Canadians surely want to see Conservative leader Andrew Scheer going after Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s four years of scandal and mismanagement.

But on Thursday, thanks to Trudeau opting not to attend the Maclean's/CityTV leaders debate, we were left with Scheer trading barbs with has-been and a never-was.

So what, pray tell, was the point?

Scheer on Climate change and global warming. Who does this sound like? Side by side in a debate they would all sound the same, with them taking turns saying the other isn’t doing enough. They are all so far left they have fallen on the floor.

Didn’t even watch. Even if the inarticulate bumbling fool of a PM Trudeau had found his tiny gonads and shown up, I still wouldn’t have watched it. Without Max Bernier there are no debates this election cycle. I am sick of and done with listening to fools. I wonder what the viewership was?

I am however, awaiting the Max Bernier/ Dave Rubin event in Hamilton on Sept. 29. Now that will be worth taking in.

No heavy weights were there Menzies, the only heavy weight in the race is Bernier and he wasn’t invited.

I could care less to see Scheer debating Trudeau, I want to see Maxine on that stage and those 2 idiots trying debate him….the rest is just lip service since they are 2 sides of the same coin
