Menzies' Top 3 suggestions for “feel-good” cop cars: More Care Bear, less RoboCop

David MenziesMission Specialist

Rebel viewers may recall my report about Hogtown’s roll-out of police cruisers sporting a new paint job. It was abruptly aborted after certain members of Generation Snowflake were “triggered” by the “militaristic” colour scheme.

The switch to grey was promptly halted and now comes word that to avoid triggering anyone with a perceived militaristic-RoboCop colour scheme, Toronto’s progressive city council wants the public to weigh-in online regarding what their kinder, gentler police cruisers should look like.

As we all know, design by committee always gets great results.

But, as a free service to the police and the city – and bearing in mind the overarching goal of not triggering uber-sensitive types, I humbly submit the following suggestions for feel-good cop cars.

So many choices, so little time to concoct a kinder-gentler, diverse and inclusive police cruiser.

I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to see the final result.

Keith Barnes, LOL! I could only make it to 31 seconds of that 10 hr loop. Drew, the music you picked to go with the Swedish police video was an excellent choice on your part.

Merrill Meikleham …“Why not the LGBTQ rainbow?”… Perhaps because there are more important symbols in life for the majority of us than accommodating queer agendas?…

OK.. so go for the full Care Bear!… Paint the exteriors in fuzzy brown Roxatone and put two cute bear ears outboard of the roof lights!?… Make them cop cars downright “huggable”!…

Keith Barnes; LOL. 10hrs.

“Hogtown”? Can you still say that? That should ruffle a few Immans.

Keith Barnes who the hell posted that?

Why not the LGBTQ rainbow?

Leave them all white and paint some pink panties around the trunk.

Forget cars, have the police use pink bicycles with a basket filled with flowers they can hand out. How much more approachable does it get? Even those arrested get a flower, that way, spreading love to the masses is considered inclusive. When signing out their bicycles, police officers should be given the choice of which cheery pastel colour, spandex suit to wear, instead of traditional off-putting uniforms. The tighter the fit the better, leave nothing to the imagination, as having an imagination is now unacceptable. No whistles permitted, this can trigger the public who hated their gym teacher! To get someone’s attention, use the bubbles provided in your fanny pack….it was determined only an insignificant percentage of people find bubbles offensive.
The bike brigade is expected to return to the station with an empty basket after each shift.
Officers who require transport with their prisoner; call Uber, and request a super-friendly driver who plays whale calls without complaint.
Robocops bad, bad, bad! Community policing must now be above all, approachable…Mr. Rogers will be delivering his weekly talk after roll call.

I suggest a Muslim fist going up the tailpipe.

Andrew Stephenson we are not the ones who whined, that was the lefties. Being triggered is whining.

David, until now I’ve agreed with your views 100%, but this time you really blew it. The objection to the proposed “stealth” police cars was that the were designed to “Apprehend and Arrest” rather than “Protect and Serve”. Would you prefer that all police wore plain clothes and drove unmarked cars? Sounds like a Secret Police to me. Do you really want a police state?

I liked the grey robot cop cars.

Of course the rightist whiners would turn objections over a hideous paint job over pouting about “triggered” whoevers.

No, it’s not because it’s “triggering” people. It’s because the police are supposed to be approachable and part of the community, not “robocop”.

How about painting the cruisers pink and having the cops wear ‘pussy hats’?
commented 2017-04-30 14:48:37 -0400
Perhaps they could paint the Police Cars Skybluepink and have Bugs Bunny wearing a Dress, as emblems. This should keep the Snowflake Dipsticks happy.

How about they ask our opinion on something we care about like gun confiscation, reclassification and banning.

This and other questions about the police – who used to be your friend – have come up lately. I’d like to ask what will be done about that bit of misinformation on the side of that hot-looking grey cop car?
TO SERVE AND PROTECT
Are the police still there to ‘serve and protect’ the public, or are they there to do ‘law enforcement’ for the state – like most other police services in Canada and the US now do.

. . and their uniforms are so militaristic and very emotionally triggering. We must change them as well. People feel so threatened whenever a cop appears. And especially that large threatening label “POLICE” across the chest of each officer. “WELCOME TO FRIENDLY TORONTO” would be so much better. Get with it City Council. This is 2017.

Thanks David Menzies. City Council is made up of a pack of morons.

It just amazes me that supposed adult, sane, educated people are elected to city councils and government and then capitulate to insane attention seeking assholes like LGBT, Black Lives Matter, and Snowflake Uber-Sensitive types or for that matter anyone and everyone that shouts prejudice when someone or something does not meet with their twisted narrative.
It is no wonder that our cities, and governments are so screwed up – no one has the balls to say NO anymore. Instead they kowtow to every asshole that yells, screams and throws a tantrum or has their own idea as to how things should be for the rest of us.
F*cking sad world this is turning out to be – and scary.

Ahhhhh yes, the important issues of how a police car should be painted, its’ decals and slogan. All the rest of the issues the police could be focusing on pale by comparison.
