Middle East news: Syria to give 75 tanks to Hezbollah, more Russian troops on the way

UN coming under fire for handing Saudi Arabia a key human rights role even though the kingdom has arguably the worst human rights record for women and minorities PLUS:

* Saudi Arabia faced mounting criticism after a stampede during the Hajj killed more than 700 people;

* Kuwaiti newspaper, Al Rai, has reported that Syria is going to give 75 Russian tanks to Lebanese terrorist group Hezbollah while its leader Hassan Nasrallah says that more Russian troops are on their way to Syria and will likely have a major effect on the civil war;

* Israeli Super-model Bar Refaeli and fiancé, Israeli businessman Adi Ezra tied the knot in traditional Jewish ceremony.

Yes as bad as Assad may be, he is the better choice. The. Choice between Assad and these so called rebels is a no brainer. There are no good guys in this fight only stability. Assad had stability, didn’t slaughter Christians and other religious people.
The ME needs dictators for stability as bad as it may sound. They aren’t ready for democracy.

@bravo. Sucks being on the wrong side of history.

Will be nice to watch the Ruskies wipe out ISIS though. The ME can then be their hornets nest/problem. What won’t be nice and even embarrassing I would add – is watching our governments stumble about trying to generate something that resembles rational foreign policy in the wake of it all.

And while the western media is not reporting this – a Chinese aircraft carrier has landed in a Syrian port.

I suspect that Assad has had his people hit by the west and now the Russians and the Chinese are backing Assad.

Going to be interesting times ahead.
