A migrant in Germany is accused of throwing a woman through a window, breaking both of her legs, because she refused to have sex with him.
According to The Daily Mail, the migrant known only as Dawit A, “allegedly drank beer and vodka at a refugee centre in Bensheim before threatening a female migrant identified only as Tirhas, 26, with a broken bottle.”
Tirhas claims he told her to lie down and asked if she had 'another man'. Her then hurled her fifteen feet out of a widow and onto concrete below.
On trial at Frankfurt State Court, prosecutors said Tirhas visited Dawit in his room in July last year with another couple. At some point during the meeting, Dawit became violent because Tirhas refused sex and threw apartment keys out of the window.
“He threatened me with a broken bottle, wanted to stab me in the belly. He wanted sex, said I should lie down,” she told the court.
“When I kept saying "no", he raised me up like a child, carried me to the window and dropped me,” she added.
Dawit cried and claimed he was sitting in prison on remand for 'no reason' and live was unfair to him since arriving in Germany in 2014. He is also being investigated for harassing another woman and sexually assaulted a 17-year-old girl.
The trial is set to conclude this week. If found guilty, he only faces five years behind bars.
