Migrants must speak English to become Australian citizens: Tony Burke caught out

Mark LathamRebel Host

Tony Burke has recently backflipped on the English language requirements for Australian citizenship, saying that people do not have to pass an English language test to become citizens.

One theory is because his electorate may have many non-English speakers, but is this true?

So I tested this theory by talking to people in Burke's electorate...

Immigration without assimilation is simply an invasion.
Assimilate or vacate.
Fit in or fuck off.

It’s the same in Canada. What gets me is that Canadians have always been expected to follow the laws and norms of this country, but along come foreigners with no regard for the laws of the land and sometimes no intention of following them, and somehow, it’s o.k. that they don’t follow the laws or the norms. Go figure!

Speaking one of our two official languages should be required here in Canada but unfortunately that is not the case. Think about it, we have people voting in our elections, driving cars and trucks and they don’t speak English or French. Mark’s concern is right on target, all this does when you have a variety of groups that enter your country and don’t have any intention of being part of the local culture, it just creates distrust and further divisiveness. When they enter the country, the first thing that should be required is English lessons for those in Australia and French or English here in Canada. These people love saying, “I Don’t Speak English,” it’s what they use to absolve themselves from any responsibility when something hits the fan. That politician is the standard issue puppet, we have a lot here in Canada. They are the reason we are at the point that it’s becoming more difficult to recognize our own local cultures as they drown in a sea of multiculturalism. Pretty soon it’s going to be us that needs to learn their languages if we are to communicate in our own countries.

Thanks for highlighting this. Burke is quite the gymnast! English is essential.
