MLK's Niece: New 'Civil Rights Movement' Is Ending Abortion

Rebel Staff

The leftwing celebrates Martin Luther King Jr. as an iconic legend. That's why they have been so dismayed by his niece Alveda King, an outspoken conservative who says that ending abortion is the "new civil rights movement."

Alveda King said babies are being 'womb-lynched' by pregnancy terminations, warning 'today's unborn are yesterday's blacks – best kept out of sight and out of mind lest they remind us of the injustices we commit'.

King admitted her personal experience of abortion deeply scarred her and led her to campaign on the issue.

'I see absolutely no difference between the denial of rights to people because of their skin colour and the denial of rights to people because of their age or condition of dependency,' she said.

'There is no doubt that the pro-life movement is the civil rights movement of our century because it is the fundamental right of every one of every race to live. Of what use are all our other rights if we can simply choose to deny a person the right to be born in the first place?'

As someone whose relative literally gave his life to the Civil Rights movement, King knows better than anyone how to define one when she sees it. Members of the left are of course appalled by this statement, as they only look at civil rights cases from the standpoint of their own political ideology.

Leftists see abortion as a civil rights issue from the viewpoint of mothers who want to "choose" to have an abortion, but King instead sees it from the standpoint of the defenseless babies who simply want to be born.

When looking at it from the side of the children, it's clear that abortion really is a civil rights issue in its own right, and people like King are fighting for the rights of those who can't fight for themselves.

If King was a progressive, leftists would celebrate her and she would likely have an extremely successful career appearing on mainstream media programs to give her commentary.

However, since she does no submit to the left's race-baiting agenda, she is ignored by the very racially-obsessed left-wingers who claim to revere her late uncle.

Once again, these left-wingers are showing that they have no interest in being open-minded to a viewpoint other than their own. King would challenge the way they look at the world if they were to ever listen to her, and leftwing snowflakes can't risk being triggered by her commentary!

Ontario not only supports killing babies, it just killed FREE SPEECH!

The abortion clinic bubble zone law (Bill 163) will prevent anyone, including Nuns and Priests, from their ‘violent’ protesting.

The fines are worse than a DUI charge.
" Anyone who violates the safe zones will face up to $5,000 in fines and six months in jail for a first offence and fines of $1,000 to $10,000 and up to a year in jail for a second or subsequent offence. "

3Conservatives were absent from the vote, 2 Liberals were absent (!!!!)

Who was the hero who ‘attended’ and voted against it? Carleton-Mississippi Mills MPP Jack MacLaren

The left cares nothing for civil rights or true social justice. They only care for what stokes their egos.

Mongrel good point, they would be calling MLK an uncle Tom or some other hate filled left wing drivel.

Abortion should only performed if having the Child is going to endanger the Mother or the unborn Child is badly deformed. If the child is the result of Rape, the pregnancy should be permitted to run full term, if at birth the Mother dose not want the Child, then it can be put up for Adoption.

All other abortions are Murder. If a Mother has an abortion because the Child is a girl, when the Mother wanted a boy, or visa versa, then the Mother and the attending Doctor should be jailed for Life.

I don’t think you can call Ms. King conservative in the old traditional definition, any more than you can call her Uncle conservative. However she, like her Uncle, subscribes to common sense. Hence she is branded by the regressives, just like her Uncle would have been if he lived today.

Because of the regressive push to tear down monuments, the most recent being Lincoln, I will not be surprised when Dr. King ends up on the list. Why? He promoted equality. Question is whether the regressives turn on him or Mandela first.
