More “banana republic” tactics in Ontario PC nomination contests

David MenziesMission Specialist

Ontario PC nominations have become contentious in recent months and last week was no exception from the cosmically crazy controversies we’ve seen in various riding nominations.

Riding association presidents are appealing the outcome of at least two recent contests. At issue: numerous irregularities.

Earlier this month there were concerns about ballot-box stuffing in Ottawa West Nepean and officials with the Newmarket-Aurora PC riding association are challenging the April 8 nomination noting that the process and election had been tainted by a blatant breach of the nomination rules.

Watch as I fill you in on the details and speak to some of the people involved.

At the end of the day, yet another PC riding nomination ended in controversy and bitterness, peppered with allegations of rule-breaking and improper conduct.

So, what else is new in Ontario PC Land?

Previous tory regiemes in Ontario like Mike Harris and Tim Hudak were just too willing to break rice bowls. A tory party that is not ’liberal light" is just not seen as having any chance to dislodge Winn.

Andrew Stephenson said “LOL, you can’t actually defend your party, can you?”
Oh boy, that’s so deeeeep, NOT! I don’t defend what took place, these tactics are wrong; and I am glad Rebel reported them. When Conservatives borrow from the Liberal playbook, it’s unexpected.

Kathleen Wynne needs to go, but I’m having a hard time wanting to vote for this group of PCs. Patrick Brown is not a leader, and from what I can see, his candidates aren’t either.

The scary thing here is: If I can’t bring myself to vote PC, and from what I hear from others, Kathleen has nothing to worry about. I bet Kathleen is very happy right now!

Andrew Stephenson, you are as deep as a kiddie pool! Congratulations!”

Why are conservatives so bloody stupid as to let their parties get hi-jacked. Well, why not eh, they let them hi-jack all the other institutions of society! I guess they’ll never learn not be such purists when it comes to openness.

Lloyd Nolan, you’re right!

Such is the result when “progressives” masquerade as conservatives.

Andrew Stephenson i need some advice, a Muslim man that i work with is trying to get his wife to Canada, but since he is doing it the honest way , he has to wait for months just to find out the next step. So my question is this,“what should i tell him if he ever finds out phony refugees are illegally crossing the border and getting everything handed to them and not waiting a second to be allowed in?” I am curious as to what you would consider an explanation? I mean other than that the left rewards criminals and punishes the honest.

So where are the trolls who say the Rebel never reports on conservative problems?

Andrew Stephenson well since they are not liberals we do not expect corruption.
