More middle class taxes? EXCLUSIVE docs show Liberals consider “carbon tariff” on imports

Christopher WilsonRebel Commentator

We’ve been told ad nauseum that Trudeau and his Liberals are working to make life more affordable for Canada’s middle class, but it's clear his efforts have either failed or were an outright lie, especially as we see new taxes that are being considered.

According to an Access to Information Packet from the Environment ministry, it appears they are not only going to implement a carbon tax on everything but are also looking at a border tax adjustment in the form of a carbon tariff on imports.

This comes as the Liberals are already raising taxes on the very same middle class he claims to help.

Payroll taxes are up, they broke their election promise to cut the small business tax from 11 per cent to 9 per cent, they’ve just introduced a yearly hike to beer, wine and spirits taxes and are even considering a Netflix tax.

Watch as I show you the briefing notes setting out the reason this tax should be considered.

This is such a bad idea for the middle class, particularly in BC where any tariff on imports would hurt at our ports.

This is a logical step, if you make Canada uncompetitive, then you have to stop cheaper imports to try and balance the local market, and the every one poor to rich pat, pay, pay. Interesting to see Trumps reaction, import tariffs on stuff from Canada?

Isn’t this a violation of our free trade agreements?

Will the OPEC be taxed on the 700,00 barrels a day we import. Ill bet not.
only the regular people will pay this tax. guess who and what companies will be exempt.

Bill, Canadians are not what they once were. I predict they haven’t had enough abuse yet and he’ll go two terms. Unless something breaks between now and then.

This hapless ninny boy is on his way to a one term government. i love it. The same thing sunk his old man’s government, middle class tax increases and direct taxing on Middle class essentials is a death wish for a government – fortunately we have a gargantuan ego here who can’t see past his next photo op. One – Term – Wonder.

There is no limit to the stupidity of this piece of fluff that we have for a prime minister.

Also, any duty tax plus GST goes directly to the federal government, as opposed to the provincial carbon extortion where only the GST goes to the feds. Considering the majority of consumer goods bought by Canadians are imports, of course the Lying Party of Corruption will implement the duty. Question is, at what rate? My guess is the rate of the province with the highest carbon extortion.

We don’t have lots of manufacturing left in Canada in 2017, so most of the goods consumed come from imports. Tax, tax, TruDope will bleed Canadians dry for his weapon of mass muslim migration. Go ahead TruDope, tax us out of existence, before 2019 though. We’ll see then if this country is still liberal.

Will this count for Chinese imports as well from Justins buddies?

Leviticus: I agree “no carbon tax” on domestic manufactured goods, but the carbon tariff could satisfy the man-made climate change fanatics while at the same time reducing the REAL pollution that causes acid rain, health problems, species extinction, and garbage washing up on our shores.

Billy… I think you are going to get some flak over your global carbon taxing initiative… Canada is not a contributor so we shouldn’t be paying carbon tax on any domestic products making things made in Canada more attractive than things imported from around the world but a global carbon tax as you stated is an international rip off not a global Savior.!!

The Liberal Lie has many tentacles, these tentacles reach out for the necks of the middle class in order to squeeze more out of us. Occasionally, there will be a small measure Trudeau will introduce so that the choke hold will ease up for a bit….then, he will do it all over again.

My apologies to Andrew Sneer… I should’ve watch the video before commenting.

Trudeau’s carbon tax is a fraud against Canadians.
That being said, a carbon tariff makes sense on goods imported from factories that get their power from highly polluting sources (like inefficient and outdated coal plants) and/or are otherwise environmentally unfriendly. This makes sense because those goods are, in effect, unfairly subsidized insofar as they are produced with cheap dirty energy with no/low environmental protection costs (when compared with expensive Canadian standards and environmental regulations).
A global carbon tariff would be way more beneficial to the earth’s environment than say, the Paris Agreement, because it puts the onus on industry to clean up its act if it wants to compete internationally.

How is taxing Canada to death going to save the world from excess airborne plant food.?? I wonder what Andrew Sneer had to say about this tax as the official opposition who supports the Paris accord.?
We will get another term of Justin but I’m not sure how we are going to survive it.!

Can any of the lefties who comment here please tell me how any of this is helping the middle class or the poor?

When a Liberal says they will help the MIDDLE CLASS, they actually mean they will help the MEDDLE CLASS.
