Morneau puts taxpayers on the hook for BC’s bad actions on Kinder Morgan

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Host | The Gunn Show

Hold on to your wallets, people!

Finance Minister Bill Morneau just announced that he’s willing to compensate Kinder Morgan for the financial losses of their investors caused by the Liberal government's inaction on the company's Trans Mountain expansion project.

Morneau said:

“The indemnification would allow Kinder Morgan to finish what they started, what they received Federal and BC approval to do” and "as a government, we need to ensure that the rule of law is respected and that investors have the certainty needed to complete the Trans Mountain pipeline expansion project because it's in the national interest to do so”.

All those same things could have been said about the Energy East and Northern Gateway pipelines.

None of these pipelines were wanting for money and investment. They needed a federal government willing to enforce the law and then get out of the way.

Today's announcement changed nothing in that regard.

BC is still stalling the pipeline expansion with Lawfare and the Federal government isn’t doing anything to hold BC accountable for the damage they’re doing to the investment climate in Canada.

Instead, Morneau just put the taxpayers on the hook for BC's bad actions.

Maybe those that are interested parties are the Chinese. If so, our stumble bum politicians won’t be too quick to muscle them.

Keith if that is the case I’m sure that the Tater Tot will bend over backwards to give them what ever they want. Basic admiration and all, don’t you know.

Ron Joseph – stop the pipeline at Kamloops… I like that although I live on Vancouver Island and my wife and I are already suffering from outrageous prices at the pump… I suspect however that Horgan The Organ wants an excuse to call another election to rid himself of the monkey on his back i.e. Greenie Weaver… Horgan did chose to go ahead with the Site C dam on the Peace River, much to the dismay of the Greenies, and may be playing games to be “forced” to accept not only the renewal of the Kinder-Morgan pipeline but about ten natural gas export projects up and down the B.C. coast which are now in limbo… If Notley does cut off oil flow at the B.C. border, watch for things to get very hot very fast…

This is pretty simple Butts. Pass it along to your boy Trudeau.

Enlarge the legal protest perimeter to something a littler larger than 5 meters. Like seriously, 5 meters? Any numbskull could have guessed 15 feet was going to be a bit shy. That in itself invited problems.

And any extra cost KML experiences because of activists or provincial gov’t. breaking the law, send Horgan the bill. Bring in the Military if need be. Lawbreakers get arrested and go to jail. Not back home to their mommy’s basement or to their cushy gov’t jobs. How does minimum 60 – 90 days sound?

But no, the liberals decide to play games with our money rather than doing their gd job. Absurd! Trudeau, McKenna have created this mess. Add to that Notley with her social license gaff. No way taxpayers should be picking up the tab.

How arrogant. A gov’t official (Morneau) stating that if KML loses interest there are other investors waiting in line willing to build it. What’s with that? Forgetting one very important thing. The government doesn’t own Trans Mountain, KML does.

Tick Tock Butts. May 31 is just days away now. Tick. Tock.

Trudeau lied when he sounded off when visiting Calgary yesterday. Plays the Harper blame game. Says not 1 km. of pipeline was built while SH was PM. Well that was a lie. And, in case Trudeau forgot to mention, Harper DID NOT KILL one pipeline project like Trudeau has done (remember….Northern Gateway). Or piss around with time consuming study after study ultimately killing Energy East. And Trudeau was all gushy gushy when Obama scrapped Keystone.

The only pipeline (directly impacting Canada) since Trudeau became Prime Minister is the one Trump revived from the ashes, ie: Keystone. You liberals embarrassed yet?

Sheila: Whoregan is not unelected but, unfortunately, elected in his riding and his party, the NDPee, did not get most of the seats. The speaker of the legislature is a liberal turncoat and is now an independent. He will face a recall 18 months after the election so expect him to be turfed when he faces a recall. The NDPee will have to supply one of their members to be speaker however they, along with the Greens, will still have a majority of one without the speaker having to vote to break a tie.

I expect one or more of the NDPeers to resign their seat(s) for some reason or other and if this occurs in seat(s) that was barely won by the NDPeers then the liberals could reclaim these seats and take over the government after a non confidence motion. This is how I see things playing out. Cannot happen soon enough.

Stop the pipeline at Kamloops, cut off the Lower Mainland and the flaky Island.
Let them pay $ 5.00 a liter and the intelligent people will force the environmentalists to come around.

BoyCott, that is what B.C. means.
ROC better not forget that.

Morneau also said that if KM doesn’t follow through there are lots of other companies waiting in the wings to take it over. I’m so sure. What rational person would want to get involved with this three ring circus?
