Let's look at the NDP and Liberal reaction to the TransPacific Partnership (TPP) trade deal that Harper signed just two weeks before the Canadian election.
The NDP's Thomas Mulcair was quick to denounce the deal, while Liberal leader Justin Trudeau said he'd respond after the election.
Both said they were put off by the "secrecy" surrounding the negotiations -- as if you'd go into any negotiation by making your positions clear in advance!
But here's the thing:
Canada's non-partisan Privy Council Office offered Mulcair and Trudeau a confidential briefing on the TPP details before they are finalized -- but they turned it down!
Of course they did. Here's why...

Moreover, there was a clause that they could not say anything about it. Meanwhile, the promise was that it would be available to all Canadians before the election, not a muzzling clause on chapter summaries presented to the party leaders.
It was a trap. Nothing more, nothing less.
What do you think he has been doing as PM?
Look, the reality is that people other than blind left wingers like yourself, such as economist all over the world have said that the Harper Conservative government has done an excellent job on the economy.
I know you don’t want to believe that. It is your prerogative to blind yourself to facts simply because you do not like Harper.
Regarding his performance as a PM.. He is listed as one of the WORST PM in history of Canada.. I provided you with a valid source. If the source doesn’t agree with you then it is your problem, not mine..
You say: “Stephen Harper is not an economist.”
Really? Well why don’t you give this a read, if you can, and then comment…

Bullshit.
He lead us through the greatest recession since the great depression and kept the country as one of the top economies. But you are right about one thing, “Facts are facts, but you can try to convince yourself otherwise..” Except that you have the wrong facts. Many of the world’s leading economists say that Canada under the Harper government did better than most of the nations.
You can believe whatever lies you like, Bryan Edwards, but you are wrong.
A difference that makes no difference is no difference. He has the education. He has the knowledge. What? You think that working in the field "activates the neurons and synapses of the brain to enable that knowledge, otherwise it is a useless mass of knowledge until then? You are just talking semantics, meaningless semantics.

Harper’s ACTUAL economic record: BEYOND POOR.
Facts are facts, but you can try to convince yourself otherwise..
Not true. Stephen Harper completed a bachelor’s degree in economics in 1985 at the U of C. He is educated as an economist. You should do your research.

CANADIANS, READ THAT QUOTE THREE TIMES AND THINK BEFORE YOU VOTE. NO DICTATORSHIP HERE!
“Why Stephen Harper deserves re-election
Unlike some of the Republican candidates in the US Presidential election, who chose to live life large, Stephen Harper has chosen to live life incrementally – taking a lot of small steps, but all in the right direction.
The reason why he has done so was explained to me by top Conservative strategists at a party event held a few weeks after Stephen Harper’s first win in 2006 against Liberal Paul Martin. After losing to Paul Martin in 2004, Harper realized that the most important obstacle to overcome was the Liberal meme – repeated ceaselessly since 1993 – that Conservatives (and their Reform predecessors) are too extreme for Canada. Harper’s solution was to move forward incrementally without making any moves that could trigger the Liberals to say, Ahah! See I told you. Until now, this strategy has been successful.
Unfortunately, it has a defect. It leaves some conservatives frustrated because they fail to see the steady progress Stephen Harper has made to date. They think Harper isn’t doing anything, or they have been caught up in nothing scandals like the Mike Duffy circus. If this is you, don’t be fooled. Harper has accomplished a great deal.
For starters…”

CC makes 7 or 8 very good points of fact that I wish were available to more people in the present age of the Media Party’s propaganda/censorship behemoth…
Neither of the communist fucks, mulcair, nor troodo, said a word – beyond their voter base’s comprehension.
Now TPP is an issue – and this shitstream media is all over this with the decorum and tact like that of a herd of fat kids tackling an icecream truck.
Allah Akbar.
I note that the media also forgot to mention this.
Just more agenda driven politics – the country does not matter to those who are in it for the ego.
