Quebec’s anti-corruption unit arrests Liberals -- but Ontario's “political police” look the other way

Brian LilleyArchive

A Christmas present on St. Patrick’s Day? Quebec’s anti-corruption unit has arrested several political aides, staffers and former politicians most of them, Liberals.

You can’t tell me Liberals aren’t corrupt. This is just another chapter in the never ending story of Liberal corruption.

Fortunately, Quebec does a pretty good job of catching and exposing political corruption.

Unfortunately, Ontario doesn’t which means that politicians get away with a lot of the same kinds of things.

Case in point, more should have happened by now in the ongoing saga of Wynne/McGuinty scandals in Ontario but it simply doesn’t because the Ontario Political Police tend to look the other way for Liberals.

But that doesn’t mean Liberals at every level and in every province aren’t just as corrupt. It just means they don’t get caught.

I mentioned today on a WCO site that Ontario needs a “Charbonneau” type commission to investigate the Green energy act players. It will be difficult to have something similar to the UPAC because of the politicizes OPP. We are in sad shape and to add to all this we now have Charlie Brown as head of the PC party.

cbc,opp they have already been bought and paid for, a couple of plea bargains for some low level officials (and a later reward) and it will all be forgotten

Seems like a perfect Groundhog Day movie sequel (or prequel) to me. Who will star? Well, we have so many ‘actors’ to choose from, it will be difficult to decide.

Ontario (including Ottawa) will never see a political corruption trial/scandal again – In Ontario political corruption is now the norm – at ALL levels of government – Perhaps the OPP fear these corruption investigations because they could become a full time job – no time to chase street crooks with so many political criminals about

i personnally have NOT trusted any OPP since their little commercial during the last election !!!!!!! and i would like some answers to these 4 or 5 different investigations ( thats insane ….4 or 5 ) but hey we get the typical I’M SORRY from our premier ( i choke when i say that word “premier” ) IT IS PATHETIC AND SHAMEFUL

That is indeed pretty impressive. Wouldn’t it feel great to have the rest of Canada cleaned up this way. Corrupt politicians breed like rats. It would be like housework, one of those jobs that is never done. Now that’s something I wouldn’t mind my tax dollars getting behind. There isn’t a province in the country that couldn’t use some cleaning up. Good point about Quebec media, and their police in comparison to Ontario and Wynne’s liberal police force the OPP.

I shake my head in amazement when I see people voting in a government that has put us in a Greece like debt and it becomes obvious that as long as some people are getting paid the big bucks who cares if the system collapses, they will have their money well invested in off shore accounts and be protected while the rest of us scramble to pick up our lives and figure out how we get out of this mess. So what is a few extra billion lost here or there as long as they get their share of the pie.

Under McGuinty, the OPP received an 8.55% pay raise. On the other hand, provincial employees got less than 1%. Who knows what private sector employees received?
During the terrible years of the Third Reich, the Nazis had their own “OPP” but they were called the Gestapo. The Gestapo took orders from Hitler and his henchmen and were handsomely rewarded for following orders and thus would never investigate their leaders.
The OPP take their orders from . . .?
Will they carry out investigations into the corruption at the highest levels of provincial government? Not likely, Ontario can always claw back any raises given to the police. The OPP is the Ontario liberal party’s very own Gestapo.

Another reason to let politicos spend less of my money, but liberals would be liberals, I’m so surprised that police really went for prosecution of politicos, usually the unioned police is very friendly with the government , I hope this is just the beginning and Charest, Couillard were there when this happened .

Kathleen Wynne and her Liberal cronies are laughing on the way out of the bank and tipping the OPP who are holding the door for her.

It is obvious the RCMP should have been brought in to investigate the corruption by the Liberals in Ontario. There is to much conflict of interest to let the OPP investigate.

Is there a liberal who is not corrupt? Sean , Ron C, where are you? Oh yeah hiding like pathetic trolls LMAO!

Anyone hear anything recently about last years OPP association corruption scandal that involved offshore accounts, fake companies and foreign land deals…
Anyone hear anything recently about the investigation (by the OPP) into the Liberal scandal involving buying out a candidate, or the gas plant deal, or the Orange scandal?
Didn’t think so…
Draw your own conclusions.

Peter Netterville; you hit the nail on the head!

You are refering to the Charboneau Commission.
The Charboneau Commission uncovered billions of corruption and graft in the Province of Quebec.
During testimony, it was revealed time and again that the ties to this graft and corruption went high up into the Lieberal Party, both Provincial and Federal.
When the Commission concluded last year, it seemed we would never know how far the corruption went.
Thankfully, the Quebec Authorities took the next step, and here we are.
Hopefully, this is just the beginning…………

The Political Police are all Liberals, put in place by Liberals long ago. Corruption is the Liberal game.

It will not be long before we may be wishing that Liberals still controlled the police force, for in the near future, all the Police will be Muslims

Justin better rush over to Quebec City, Toronto and Montreal to give everybody a big hug. While he’s there he should be able to squeeze in a few selfies with our great politicians and newest immigrant liberal voters. Hey, it’s only your money you know. He can’t take it with him when he dies. I wish folks could understand that.

It is filthy to see all the corruption, but what does it say about the people who continually vote for these criminals both provincially and federally?

Now we know exactly where the money has been going that’s been stolen from Alberta.
