Muslim students continue jihad on 'American Sniper', yet another school cancels screening

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute has decided to cancel its initial screening of American Sniper after the school's Muslim Students Association complained.

In a message posted on Facebook by the Union Programs and Activities Committee Cinema (UPAC), the decision is explained.

“This past Wednesday, UPAC Cinema decided to postpone the screening of the controversial film, American Sniper. This decision was made after careful consideration of a request by RPI Muslim Students Association to cancel the film. We realized that this movie has caused heightened tension across communities and college campuses nationwide, including violent actions and even murders. We decided that instead of showing the movie as a regular Friday Night Movie, it should be coupled with an educational forum. We then took action and replaced American Sniper with The Theory of Everything,” it reads.

As The Daily Caller points out, the same school will be showing a slasher movie called 'Unfriended'  and has shown Django Unchained – an equally violent – if not more so – film.

David Brond, the Vice President for Strategic Communications and External Relations, sent out an email about the decision. The email has made its way onto Reddit.

“...UPAC has decided that they will show American Sniper during this spring semester, at a date to be announced. The showing will be coupled with an optional educational forum for all members of the Rensselaer campus community to participate in an intellectual discourse about the film and current world events,” it reads.

Is the film really so controversial that an education 'forum' has to be held to talk about it? Is the movie that 'triggering'?

The postponement of American Sniper at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute comes just after the University of Michigan created a national story when they gave into pressure by Muslim students to cancel their screening of the film.

The decision was reversed shortly after the school's football coach tweeted that the football team would be watching the film.

Do you think it's time for schools to stop giving into demands made by Muslim students?

So, I guess “Saving Private Ryan” is offensive to German-Americans, so it should be banned too?

Let’s face it, America. “Ryan” is just the latest vile racist movie fuelling Krautophobia. After about 200 American war movies showing white-priviledged GIs shooting up the poor Germans, it’s no wonder we we’ve had 70 years of schnitzel shops on Main Street USA in flames, sausages painted on windows of German homes, and little Deutche kids on playgrounds being strangled with their lederhosen by Wagner-hating thugs. America, please stop burning BMWs on lawns and smashing Kraftwerk albums…the anti-Teutonic Hatefest has go to stop!!

There you have it, folks! Now you know what our post-secondary students are REALLY learning, as demonstrated by the school’s administrators — Politics rules! Appease, cringe, knuckle under… just, whatever you do, don’t have a backbone! How dare anyone actually stand up for what they believe in! (And then they complain about rampant bullying… how ironic…)

I’m not against the Muslim students protesting this film. They have that right. But the Muslim students could just have boycotted the film, while the rest of the student population watched it…

Who the heck is the majority at this school, Muslims or Americans. I am sick & tired of reading story after story about how something might upset the Muslims & for that reason the individuals involved cave in. I wonder how far your complaints would go in a Muslim country. NOWHERE, that’s where. You probably wouldn’t even dare open your mouth so I say, stick up for your rights & liberties, that’s why you live in America & the same thing goes for Canada. For anyone who is opposed to the film, stay away. That’s the beauty of living in a democratic country, no one forces you to do anything you don’t want to.

Yup, once again the tail wagging the dog. Caving in to their demands and them rejecting Judaeo-Christian values. If they don’t like the system that was built on liberty and freedom, go back to your home country and live under sharia law.

As long as people in authority give in to these Islamic imbeciles, the more and more they will protest. Protesting is all part of their plan and they will protest everything and anything that will give them publicity. When they win their protest they are letting people know that they are superior to the rest of the population. The Qur’an tells them they are superior to Christians and Jews and as long as we have weak willed officials, bowing to their wishes, the Muslims will win.

Is there not someone, somewhere, in Canada who knows how to say NO. If you are not happy with Canadian ways, ef of home, we don’t want you.

Muslim groups seem to be the larges whiners of our time. Everybody must bow to the Muslim criers. We must all change our society to suit them. Sigh! I get so tired of all that crap.
