A Muslim woman has been arrested by Moscow police after she allegedly beheaded a four-year-old and paraded it through the streets while shouting 'allahu akbar'.
According to The Daily Mail, the burka-clad woman threatened to blow herself up as she walked near Oktyabrskoye Pole metro station.
The woman, 38-year-old Gyulchehra Bobokulova from Uzbekistan was supposedly the girl's nanny. The child has been identified by the Daily Mail as Anastasia Meshcheryakova.
Investigators say she beheaded the girl after starting a fire at the child's family home in a block of flats.
While walking through the streets of Moscow, Bobokulova is said to have shouted, “I hate democracy. I am a terrorist. I want you dead. You have become so hardened, you have eliminated so many of us. Look I am a suicide bomber, I will die, doomsday will come in a second.”
Local media reports say that she killed the girl because of her own husband's infidelity.
Investigators ordered a psychiatric test of the woman to understand her motives.
Russians are no strangers to dealing with radical Muslims. Earlier this year, Russian men sent multiple refugees to the hospital after they harassed women outside of a club. Police did not file a report after that incident.
