With all the whining by the left for a second referendum, a radio host decided to mock newly elected Liberal Democrat Sarah Olney.
The anti-Brexit Liberal Democrats have been pushing for a second referendum in the UK. Radio host Julia Hartley-Brewer decided to ask her when the second by-election was going to be.
When Olney appeared puzzled, Hartley-Brewer explained things to her: “we don’t really know if voters knew what they were voting for when they voted for you, so should we have a second ballot? You want a second EU referendum don’t you?”
Olney replied saying, “I was very clear in my campaign what I was voting for and the voters have returned me to Parliament with a very clear mandate.”
“A clear mandate — but less than 50 pc of the people voted for you. Are you sure you have that mandate?” Hartley-Brewer shot back.
Eventually, Olney had to be taken off the air. Wow.
