NDP: “Hate speech” laws must be strong enough to silence Ann Coulter, John Carpay

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

On last night's episode of The Ezra Levant Show, the fallout from Keyano College's free speech pledge based on the Chicago Principles continued.

The former Alberta NDP's Justice Minister has admitted that “hate speech” should be her own personal kill switch for speakers she doesn't like.

Rachel Notley and her cohort of disgraced Alberta NDP MPs have made opposing free speech on university campuses their latest cause, despite Notley's statement that:

“This is not about free speech on campus - we already have free speech.”

So what's the problem? I'll let Kathleen Ganley, the former provincial Justice Minister take it from here:

Hate speech is prohibited.... the point of this move [where campuses in Alberta are pledging their own versions of the free speech Chicago Principles after being directed by UCP Premier Jason Kenney] is to allow the the Ann Coulter’s and John Carpay’s of the world to speak from a stage.”

We always knew that the NDP have wanted to ban individuals they didn't like. It's just weird to see them admit it.

Thanks Ron…but I’m puzzled as to why the communists didn’t get their panties in a knot over him maligning THEIR banner…oh yeah…it was the Calgary Herald and not the TORSTAR…silly me.

Mon pays, ce n’est pas un pays
- C’est l’hiver !
L’hiver, c’est-tu une saison?
- C’est l’enfer !
L’enfer, c’est quand on m’dit quoi faire
Dans ma propre maison
Pour apprendre à me taire

Run that through on line translate…it’s just so timeless and appropriate.

For the life of me I cannot recall anything that John Carpay has said or is alleged to have said that would have offended anyone. In fact he seems to walk his tongue around in a courtroom lawyer bridle and for a free speach advocate he strikes me as a little bit mealy mouthed…..Ann Coulter…well…luv ya Annie…..:-)

How about if hate speech laws are strong enough to silence the vitriolic hate that the Leftists have for anyone who disagrees with them?

You’ve all hurt their feelings Ezra , they are really upset . People like her and her cronies behave like little children who haven’t been schooled very well , I mean , really disgraceful . Is their pin- up Joseph Goebbels do you think because all this stuff is straight out of his playbook isn’t it ?

Only one way to get rid of Socialism and that is to fire every School Teacher and School Board in the Country. Do a remake with honest people.

Ashley…..but who are the clowns that voted these dippers back in? This is most perplexing to me, that people believed there were not better candidates.

Rachel Notley and her band of hate mongers have zero to say any longer. They were a protest vote and a time out for the conservatives to get if together. In four long and painful years, the NDP all but destroyed Alberta. They have been tossed onto the garbage heap of political failures. It’s time they get out of the way and let Albertans fix the disaster they left us with.

I don’t know if I’d call rabid Marxists losers even when they are out of power. The Liberal Party and NDP are both extreme leftist parties and silencing opposition is the main arrow in their quiver.
And the so called media are just as dangerous to our freedom and LIBERTY.

The Alberta NDP are nothing but a bunch of losers…
