We’re halfway through the Alberta election campaign and to commemorate the occasion, today I’ll introduce you to two more of Alberta’s Destroyers: Desperate MLA Jessica Littlewood and fake news spreading Notley staffer, Jeremy Nolais.
Nolais is a former journalist turned issues manager for Notley’s office, earning six figures to eavesdrop on MLAs on the legislature rotunda.
And he peddles in fake news.
Nolais retweeted a lie from an NDP supporter about former PC Premier Ed Stelmach attending a fundraiser for NDP MLA Jessica Littlewood.
Except Stelmach didn’t. The photos used in the tweet were doctored — taken from a Knights of Columbus fundraiser in support of Catholic education. Stelmach wasn’t a fantastic premier, but he’s a good guy who supports local events and is always willing to pose for a picture — even with an NDPer like Littlewood.
That’s it. It was fake.
It’s no surprise that the main issue Nolais couldn’t manage was the truth. However, NDP political baloney about Stelmach supporting the NDP put the oft-absent Littlewood on my radar.
The NDP spent the last two years attacking and silencing peaceful pro-lifers and calling Catholic education bigoted and intolerant.
It took a lot of gall for Littlewood to show her face at a Catholic fundraiser, but desperate times call for desperate measures.
