NDP MLA Anderson calls peaceful “Stop Bill 6” rally “extremely violent and brutal”

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Host | The Gunn Show

NDP MLA Shaye Anderson called Friday's Stop Bill 6 Rally at the Legislature in Edmonton" extremely violent and brutal".

Shaye Anderson is the NDP MLA for Leduc Beaumont and he has such vast farming experience. Well, none, that I can tell. But he does have the typical NDP pedigree of being a union activist. Anderson called the couple hundred farmers and ranchers who gathered at the legislature in opposition to the NDP's farm unionization and bureaucracy growth bill masquerading as a farm safety bill extremely violent and brutal. The tweet he sent said "on ….(I think he means one) ..of our mlas get screamed at and it was extremely violent and brutal"

Anderson was referring to Jobs Minister Lori Sigurdson's minimal interaction with the peaceful farming crowd.

I was in the crowd. I was interviewing farmers and their families. I recorded the whole event. It wasn’t violent and it wasn’t brutal. In fact, the event was so peaceful and well behaved that other media outlets were tweeting about how many families were there.

Minister Sigurdson's presence was so low key that I didn’t know she was there until she was gone. She didn’t take to the microphone the way Wildrose MLA and agriculture critic, Rick Strankman did. She didn’t mingle with the crowd and take questions from farmers. She did talk to reporters, though. Yet, according to MLA Shaye Anderson, someone screamed at Sigurdson so extremely violently and brutally, and I suppose, quietly that no one heard it - not even the ever present Alberta Sheriffs at the legislature grounds.

For Anderson, the backlash outrage was swift, immediate and well deserved. There were calls for Anderson to resign and retract. Shaye Anderson even trended on twitter for part of the day. He eventually had to retract.

But make no mistake, this is what the left does. This is how they operate. They'll try to discredit the message by discrediting the messenger. Lori Sigurdson may have been asked a tough question by a farmer and her colleague tried to smear the whole rally and everyone there, until there was push back. So keep pushing back.

Nathan W prefers heavy unionization where no one can be fired for being unsafe.

Nathan W what a crock of BS , sorry but heavily regulated industries are not any safer than farms.

I used to work on a farm in Alberta. I was spraying pesticides one day and determined that the face coverings were not adequate by law and also that the pesticide amounts were about 10 times the maximum recommended for environmental reasons by the manufacturer.
I pointed this out to the farmer and got fired the next day.
I complained to the Alberta labour board and they wouldn’t lift a finger because I hadn’t completed by 3-month probationary period at the time of the firing.
Albertan farms need better safety. It is shameful that farmers get away with so much that is not tolerated in other industries.

Daryl Herman , I believe the NDP platform was printed in one of the major newspapers , possibly the National Post ,either just before or immediately after Jack Leyton was voted leader of their party. Leyton deep sixed the platform so he could show himself and the party as moving to the centre of the political spectrum, more moderate. Of course that was a charade, but it did fool enough people to allow him to gain status as the Opposition Party , the so called Orange Crush.
I would appreciate seeing the “LOST PLATFORM” appear in this forum. It was worthy enough for me to cut it out of the paper but unfortunately it got lost.
That being said, certainly the Ontario Liberals took most of the NDP platform and the underlying philosophy, which I believe is raw socialism. Liberals masquerade as being moderate and centrist, but they are the NDP all dressed up as the nice guy Liberals. In Ontario , they own the OPP and are slaves to all the public sector unions. Alberta will be devastated by these incompetent fools, and worse the entire country has bought into the Liberals to lead us to Utopia.

Regarding, “The Waffle Manifesto For an Independent Socialist Canada (1969)”:
Some noteworthy excerpts:
  • Our aim as democratic socialists is to build an independent socialist Canada. Our aim as supporters of the New Democratic Party is to make it a truly socialist party. (Note: The NDP is a member of Socialist International:
  • Central to the creation of an independent socialist Canada is the strength and tradition of the Canadian working class and the trade union movement. The revitalization and extension of the labor movement would involve a fundamental democratization of our society
  • By strengthening the Canadian labor movement
(We have seen the influence of the labour unions in the provincial and federal election process.)
  • Socialism is a process and a program. The process is the raising of socialist consciousness, the building of a mass base of socialists, and a strategy to make visible the limits of liberal capitalism.
  • Within that program, workers’ participation in all institutions promises to release creative energies, promote decentralization, and restore human and social priorities. The struggle to build a democratic socialist Canada must proceed at all levels of Canadian society.
(Applying Cultural Marxism (political correctness, ‘progressivism’), a “long march through the institutions” (Marxist theoretician and politician Antonio Gramsci [1891-1937]) of power, which includes our media, educational institutions, our political elites, and even some of our churches.

“They will fold like cheap suits” wow you got that right. I was in Ontario when they (NDP) got elected with Bob Ray. I celebrated, I thought we would get change, WRONG, we got screwed. They (NDP) are just puppets like all the rest of them (Party Politicians). When I moved to Alberta one of my reasons was to get away from the left wing Liberal/Socialism/Communism B.S., but, low and behold, here we are and who gets elected? Get ready folks they are coming after your guns, your liberties/freedoms, your property rights, your carbon taxes, your resources, and your Morals, right on schedule for the Paris U.N. (Communist) propaganda machine pushing World Dominance (“Proletariat Revolution” Marx and Engels) by deception, as in saving the World from Global Warming. Before this is over you will be screaming, WHAT HAVE WE DONE? Oh, a side note, before I left Ontario I drove past a small farm all fenced in (big fence, not for live stock), on the gate it said “GOVERNMENT, BACK OFF THIS IS OUR LAND”. Get the picture?

NDP MLA Shaye Anderson called Friday’s Stop Bill 6 Rally at the Legislature in Edmonton “extremely violent and brutal”? No, Shaye Anderson, this tyrannical bill attacking farmers is “extremely violent and brutal”! Typical when you push back on bullies, they scream like a big.

So, a sitting NDP MLA lied. Was caught in that lie. Was called out on that lie. then reluctantly made a half ass, back handed comment that was thinly disguised as a retraction. Not an apology mind you, because the NDP never apologies, especially when caught red handed in an outright fabrication.

Years back, I lived in BC when the NDPigers were voted in there. Within several months there was mass unemployment & devastation.
As I was a SC supporter for Bill Bennett Jr., I had a sign in my driveway; well there were 2 separate occasions when I was accosted and threatened with violence, 1 – to be beaten with a baseball bat by NDP supporters. As many of you have stated – these people are communists of the worst sort. At one time the Wafo Manifesto was posted on the Internet, however because it revealed so much of the criminality of these crack-pots agendas, it has been removed – well at least I can’t find it (will have to search my archives) – it was this manifesto that the Canadian NDPs base their platform of destruction!
Hopefully someone out there can find it and post it to the Rebel – it will absolutely amaze anyone who reads & understands it.

I fear our calls for protest may be losing steam. the ndp will promise to back to make it seem like they listen to you,but this is an old ploy by trudeau sr. ask for more than you expected and let them settle for what you intended. we cannot let this pass we slept through the carbon tax we must make a stand here and force them to back down. do not negotiate demand complete surrender on the bill and hopefully we will inspire others to join the fight.

Such music to my ears to hear so many Canadians here on the Rebel speak with pride and defiance.
We shall prevail and we will do so with honour and with the determination that our ancestors showed us.

When they start shrieking you know that we are on to them! Keep the pressure on these communists, and don’t let up! Let’s use the rent a mob style against these criminals, like they have used against Canadians. It seems to work well for foreign entities, using our unions for money laundering illegal payments, to undermine our governments and our economy. Hold their feet to the fire now, or we may never get another chance!
commented 2015-12-01 11:15:40 -0500
we seen the same thing during the election. An ndp would get called out for BS and immediately launch into the ‘poor me I am the victim’ whining. Remember the halfwit that threatened to off himself because Ezra gave him a dose of reality on twitter?
Cowards always cry victim when the people they are attacking start bringing the fight back to them and they get called to account for their BS.
Weber is only the first mewling socialist to whine, the hysterical screeching is going to get much louder as this fight escalates.

I’m too shocked and pissed off to think of anything to say…I just wanted to add my voice and anger in opposition to this NDP inspired criminality.
I would love to have the opportunity to get in the face of that Muslim-bearded, commie asshole, panty-waist from Vancouver and tell him what I think of him and his criminal and treasonous cohorts – doing it through a computer screen is so unsatisfying…
Your days are numbered NDP commie scum, be smart – leave now – before you get your sorry butts chased out – literally!
Angry farmers – you ain’t seen nothin’ yet…

Most of this mess we blame on the NDP is thanks to the cons. How quickly you all forget. How bout someone put real facts about how bad the cons screwed alberta and how they left the province in debt. I’m so sick of the half truths these type of media is sending out.

Accuse protesters of violence and brutality sounds like a sure fired way to nip them in the bud. Watched Suzuki and his union henchman attempt to thwart Brian Lily at the climate change rally. Now that sure looked like violence to me! But, hey, those were NDP and Liberal union thugs, so I guess it is okay!

commented 2015-12-01 09:05:24 -0500
well they better get used to it, this is only the beginning, and yes it very well may get violent and brutal, the NDP will sink to new lows every chance they get. Thin skinned pussies , havent seen nothing yet
commented 2015-12-01 01:20:41 -0500
Keep calling out the lying left at every turn. We can’t let them get away with their lies and bull. The ‘great unwashed masses’ will and are rising up. The socialists will shrink back, you just watch. Now that they are in, their stupidity is in full swing, and its not going to be well stomached.

“extremely violent and brutal”?… Not at all, but if the NDP keep going down the same path, who knows what the future will hold.

Use the lefts’ methods against them. Farmers and resource workers to shut down important intersections throughout the province. Shut down road traffic from the the Peace to Sweetgrass, from Pincher Creek to Indian Cabins, from Fort MacKay to Banff.
Sure, truckers will be inconvenienced but they are on our side! Shut the province down. Force the government to make this a referendum of No Confidence.
