NDP leadership contenders silent on Khadr payout

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

On last night's show, Sun columnist Anthony Furey joined me to discuss the NDP's reaction to Trudeau's $10.5 million settlement with Omar Khadr.

The NDP, who are usually quick to jump onto the bandwagon of any left-wing cause, has been unusually silent on the Khadr settlement. Likely due to polls showing 64% of NDP voters are opposed to the payout.

WATCH my interview to see the poll for yourself and to hear Anthony's opinions on the issue.

“Ayan Ray funds are frozen all the time and they never get paid out this quick”

Read and understand my post before commenting.

“An Ontario Superior Court judge has turned down a request for a freeze order on Omar Khadr’s $10.5-million settlement.

Lawyers for the widow of a U.S. soldier killed in Afghanistan, and another injured U.S. soldier, were in court seeking a freeze order pending the final outcome of their bid to get an Ontario court to force Mr. Khadr to hand over his settlement to them.

We don’t, thank goodness, in Canada have one law for Omar Khadr and one law for all other Canadians," Justice Belobaba told the courtroom in announcing his decision.

Can Canadians make a Citizens arrest ? Next ..if someone(Head of State) authorizes a payment of millions to a convicted terrorist… be also arrested by Citizens arrest? Any Lawyers out there want to comment?

What Ezra Levant and the like won’t tell you.

No comment means they are in agreement with the payout. The NDP under loudmouthed Tom, were bought and paid for by the Liberals in the election. That 4-million dollars that the NDP owed taxpayers for using their public offices for for campaigning, disappeared, and likely has something to do with their silence.
