This week the Keystone XL pipeline from Hardisty, Alberta passed a major hurdle on its way to final construction, when regulators in Nebraska approved an alternative route through the state.
This is good news for Alberta, and Rachel Notley say's she is "pleased." Keystone is a $10 billion pipeline project that, if finally built, will mean thousands of new jobs on both sides of the border.
But did you know that it's a pipeline Rachel Notley and the NDP never wanted to go ahead?
Tonight I'm joined by United Conservative Party Shadow Minister of Finance Drew Barnes to discuss the Keystone XL decision, the NDP's reaction to the news and how to bring financial sanity back to an insane Alberta fiscal situation.
We aren’t uprising against anything. We are TheDefenders.
We aren’t trying to destroy the culture .We aren’t trying to take away liberties and free speech. We are trying to defend the same thing that our fathers and mothers fought wars to defend. Liberty.
There is no liberty under Liberal authoritarian rule. It is they who are the rebels ,the miscreants. It is the Liberal Marxist Party that is overthrowing our culture and liberty. Not us.
Super good show tonight SHEILA , gives a bit more hope !
What a strange comment. Various points of view? Like what?
“Building pipelines to move oil from this country to any foreign market makes no sense.”
Why not Andy, every other oil and gas rich country does it. Why are we the only country that doesn’t get to market their resource? Where do you think the gas in your car comes from? We are the foreign market for a few countries. Shipped up the St. Lawrence or dropped off on the coast of Maine and piped to consumers.
“Gas buddy.com said in one of their videos that oil companies don’t want to build more refineries in Canada because they would not get their investments back before fossil fuels are banned around the world. "
Utter nonsense. (give us a link for some context) Canada is the only country stupid enough to neuter itself. No one else will because they know that you cannot run an economy on fairy dust. They are lying about playing the green game and Canada is being played for the fool they are. Oil extraction is going to be around for the foreseeable future. All the subsidies in the world won’t make green alternatives a viable alternative; that has to happen when it can stand on it’s own in the free market. The only people who are going to benefit from green will be a handful of elite and their friends.
Welcome to the Rebel, better make sure your hats on tight, you’re in for a rough ride you clown.
Name calling is a sign of a Marxist. If you are such a purist please stop using anything to do with oil/gas. Plastics, cars, buses, planes, houses, electricity, food.
Why do people like you comment when you are so out of touch with reality.
Let fossil fuels run out and the change will be driven by economics. When climate loonies get involved and cant see the UN wealth distribution scheme run by Marxists then this is the kind of commenting you get.
Drew Barnes summed it up well when he explained Notely’s policies as a “managed decline”.
I hope Albertans remember the NDP considers a great many of them as “sewer rats”, consider this along with all of the gross mismanagement; socialist tendencies; dismantling parental rights; and bloated government before casting your ballot. The list can go on and on!
