New low: CBC smears Wildrose MLA Fildebrandt as a Nazi

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Host | The Gunn Show

We just hosted our second Rebel Rally for Alberta Families in Calgary. (Watch the entire thing HERE.)

With the exception of a couple of NDP agitators who we had ejected by security before the rally began, it went off without a hitch.

Over 1000 Albertans filled a ballroom to capacity in downtown Calgary to show Rachel Notley she doesn't have “social license” to tax away their jobs and their futures with her new carbon tax.

The whole event was peaceful, and we laid down rules beforehand, including a no profanity rule.

Everyone followed these rules.

But it doesn’t matter how well behaved you are, if you’re a conservative. The mainstream media will still misrepresent you, especially if you call them out.

Watch my story to see how CBC tried to make one of our speakers, Wildrose Shadow Minister of Finance Derek Fildebrandt look like a Nazi — until outcry made the state broadcaster walk back their smear.

Sheila, you give CBC too much credit; they do not have the brains of a 13 year old, nor the sagacity, nor the intellectual power, nor the moral values nor anything approaching the abilities and judgment of a 13 year old.

The CBC is not a news bureau, they are publicly funded hate mongers. It is what they feed on and if they do not find it, they will manufacture it, such as the Nazi Salute picture. Sheila spend some time publishing the pictures of Pierre Trudeau riding around with his Nazi War Helmet on, maybe there is a shot of him waving while wearing his Nazi brain bucket. Let the Traitorous CBC explain that image. I watched the video of the Calgary Rally, most impressive, big difference from the lies of the CBC. Seeing all those true Canadians protesting another unjust tax grab made me proud, wish I could have been there. Hold something like that in Ontario and I will be attending. Keep up the fight for freedom Rebel Media, the corrupt news media is running scared.

Godwin’s law (or Godwin’s rule of Hitler analogies) is an Internet adage asserting that “As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Hitler approaches 1” that is, if an online discussion (regardless of topic or scope) goes on long enough, sooner or later someone will compare someone or something to Hitler.
Once you invoke Hitler you automatically lose the argument.

Kelly leeches line… She will not dismantle the CBC.. I have an email from her stating that she would just use the CBC for critical English and French programming.
That is a long way from dismantling… She would use it to promote her personal agendas.

They’ve given Kellie Leitch credence to her notion of dismantling the CBC!!

CBC the good old zionist broadcasting corporation using the same methods of fear mongering, innuendo and character assassination as they have been doing for years. Such disingenuous people.

I agree with an earlier comment they’re “projecting” when they call others Hitler. Projecting is one of the most prominent aspects of Lefty Psychosis! Another, is a lack of self awareness, which their article also exhibits, as they don’t see how their conduct gives themselves away!!

I also agree with an earlier comment to sue them!! Conservatives don’t seem to understand this. They take the view that they don’t want to be over-sensitive, or be as bad as them. What they’re failing to recognize is that by suing, it puts the CBC’s fake news conduct out to the broader public, as ALL media will report on it. I get very frustrated with Con’s for not understanding the more subtle ways of how to play the game!

If we want to talk about blatant postures regarding Nazis’s, during WW2 Pierre Trudeau was photographed wearing a Nazi armband.
He was not a Nazi, just a jerk, who was anti war. He was a pacifist that did everything in his power to provoke the Canadian establishment.
Since we know you Communists at the CBC like to take things out of context why not publish the picture of Justin’s father for the rest of the world to see?
You people at the CBC are traitors to Canadians and I hope you go bankrupt.

CBC is Canada’s Pravda . . . . what was Pravda you ask?
The Soviet Union = International Socialists had their own news purveyor . . . it promoted the far-left regime which was Communism.
Nazis = National Socialism were their kissing cousins = far-left Socialists also heavily influenced by Marx.
Why don’t we ask an Expert . . .

A Leftist prophet

The ideas of Benito Mussolini (1883-1945), the founder of Fascism, are remarkably similar to the ideas of modern-day Western Leftists. If Mussolini was not the direct teacher of modern-day Leftists, he was certainly a major predecessor. What Leftists advocate today is not, of course, totally identical with what Mussolini was advocating and doing 60 to 80 years ago in Italy but there are nonetheless extensive and surprising parallels. Early in the 20th century, he prophesied that the 20th century would be the century of Fascism and he got that right in that most of his ideas are still preached by the modern-day Left.

The CBC is a purveyor of nonsense and far-left ignorance . . . they re-construct history to attack Conservatives . . . and to distance themselves from their Fellow Travellers on the Insane Left !

To the brainwashed and indoctrinated : Nazis ARE Leftist – Fact ❤️

Dale, I see it as projection. The left is so easy with throwing around the “Nazi” label, but it is them that want to curtail free speech. They truly are the Nazis.

I am not so sure that “shaming works to get the media to actually do their job” as being more of a case that they didn’t have much material from the rally that they could use to spin their ‘progressive’ narratives. So with the photo of Fildebrandt they tried to manufacture the material.

BILL ELDER, “I read the ‘corrected’ copy on the CBC site, It was moderate and focused on 2 young guys out of work and a senior who has seen better days in Alberta. The anti-populist rhetoric was conspicuously absent from the piece”.
Having seen the recent version of the CBC story as well, I commented below, “Apart from their poor math (saying only about 800 people were present) and attempts to frame the protestors as representing an invasion of evil Trump-style politics in Alberta, the rest of the report was surprisingly fairly good”. Thus the anti-populist rhetoric was not conspicuously absent from the piece. Note that the subheading for the CBC article was “You are going to see a lot more Trump-type politics in Canada’: attendee” (the attendee being the senior). The young man they chose to talk to was wearing a Make America Great Again baseball cap and they included a photo of him. Showing Fildebrandt with a supposed Nazi salute pose would have added to that narrative.

Then I remembered how Levant scolded the CBC and predicted they would spike or spin the event – so obviously shaming works to get the media to actually do their job.

Didn’t Ezra start a website called the real bigots? Maybe he needs to start a new website called the real nazis.

Very good Jay. What you say is correct and it shows the bias and hypocrisy of the left and the left wing MSM. In other words conservatives are held to a higher standard because they’re expected to be whereas the bar is set very low for liberals because everyone knows they’re liars and corrupt.

Sheila Gunn Reid knows the risks of promoting right-wing rallies. In some ways she should be congratulated for having the gumption for speaking out.

Sheila Gunn Reid is not a Nazi. In fact she is rather moderate.

The worst part is that if Hitler were PM the CBC would be supporting his policies quite openly.

It’s been a long time now since I got sick to death of comparisons to Nazis and Hitler. It means next to nothing anymore. Although there have been dictatorships responsible for even more atrocities, Hitler and the holocaust stand alone in its evil uniqueness. Extremely few people or events can seriously be compared to them.

Nazi, huh?
Is that the best you’ve got? Sure didn’t see that coming. I was sure you would call him a racist. Those are 2 of the 3 swears the left has.:
1. Racist
2. Nazi
3. Islamophobe And like Victor there is one more:

4. Fascist

@keith Barnes…that is correct Keith, the “right wing” party of Germany was the Conservative Royalists who wanted the monarchy restored . They had little support, but it WAS them who formulated the “Valkerie” plot against Hitler. Groups like “white rose” did little more than distribute pamphlets.

‘Nazi’ is the English version of ’Nat’ze’ which is the abbreviation, in German, for National Socialist.

Hitler was a Socialist, CBC, just like your Dammed selves.

One has to ask how low can the CBC go with their smear campaigns and fake news fitting the ‘progressive’ narrative?
