“Disastrous weekend”: Trudeau gives $50M to a U.S. comedian — and Notley nationalizes the oil patch

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

Premier Rachel Notley has just nationalized Alberta’s oil industry. Like she has wanted to do her whole life; like every socialist or communist dreams of doing. Even Pierre Trudeau’s National Energy Program didn’t do this.

Her plan is like the dairy cartel’s supply management, but for oil companies. Except it's even worse, because she is halting production of Alberta oil.

So Canada will keep on importing about the 80,000 barrels of Saudi oil every single day instead.

And what’s so gross is that Canada’s so-called Conservative politicians are supporting this!

Like Jason Kenney, because he’ll say or do anything to avoid media criticism.

As for Andrew Scheer — well, I really don’t even know what he said. I read his statement a few times and can't tell it he's for or against it.

Well, that’s news from the west. How about from party central, in Trudeau’s world?

He just finished set-setting down to the G-20 summit. So obviously he needs a day off. He is the laziest man on Parliament Hill. But he found the energy on the weekend to type this:

Hey @Trevornoah - thanks for everything you’re doing to celebrate Nelson Mandela’s legacy at the @GlblCtzn festival. Sorry I can’t be with you - but how about Canada pledges $50M to @EduCannotWait to support education for women & girls around the world? Work for you? Let’s do it.

For those of you who don’t know, Trevor Noah is a South African-born comedian who now has a late-night show in the U.S.

According to the latest TV ratings, in the entire United States, just 240,000 people watched it. So, it’s like a small YouTube channel.

But Trudeau just said — Hey there! How about 50 million dollars! From Canadian taxpayers! If I tweet this to you, will you “like” it and “retweet” it, and invite me on your show?

Veterans are “asking for more than we can give”, Trudeau says. Albertans can go pound sand. The Oshawa GM plant is closing.

But Trudeau, in a tweet, throws fifty million dollars at some lame U.S. B-list comedian.

That’s Canada in 2018 — leftists nationalizing the oil patch; conservatives refusing to fight them; and a man-child prime minister jet-setting around the world, throwing millions of dollars at celebrities.

2019 isn’t going to be any better...

What I find the most disappointing is that Jason Kenny supports Notley’s decision.

I was hoping Jason would turn things around after he wins in May 2019 … and Notley is booted out so hard she won’t be able to sit down for the next week … but it is looking like he will be a milk toast as Scheer. I guess we will have to wait and see.

@ Sheldon Eisler, re: “I’m done talking, all this website is doing is pissing me off more and more and Trudeau is sitting back and laughing at us.”

All The Rebel is doing is revealing the truth of what is happening, not the pablum lies and propaganda fed to the public by the complicit main stream media.

So if you are feeling anger at the crap the left wing governments are doing, then get out and do some action; peaceful protest or run for office or volunteer to work in the campaign of a political candidate you do like.

Do not blame The Rebel for being one of the only ones to dig up the facts and show them as they are.

With regard to Andrew Scheer, when your main opposition is in free fall and running around the country shooting itself in the foot, head or wherever, you just let them do it.
He has been prominent enough with his rejection of the carbon tax. That issue alone is a winner for the Conservatives. As Trump has showed us in the USA, you only have to be ahead on election day.

Remember hay West when there was a shortage of hay in Alberta.
I suggest oil cars East to help Alberta move oil to refineries.
Exactly where are these rail car oil tankers being built at, bet not Alberta.
Yes everyone will dump their oil stock as the price down 30% has had a small spike.
So if lowering oil out put is good, then 0 output must be worth a fortune right.
Alberta oil industry to be sold for penny,s on the dollar to the elites.

Andy Niemers-
There might be something to the saying, “You can take a horse to water but you can’t make them drink”. But Dorothy Sayers said it better with regards to the Liberals and NDP, “You can take a whore to culture but you can’t make her think”.
Trudeau just might be haphazardly destroying the country after all.

Ron Joseph-
The rights to that oil was sold fair & square to those oil companies. The inflation will hit all of us very hard because we are paying the tax increase, in BC too. What good is purchasing rights just to have them clawed back and you can’t enjoy what you paid for?
Andy- I’m not sure we’d ever hear it in the news. Its bought and paid for. Just like million dollar and billion dollar tweets from the PM JT.

Mike Barrett is the newest CPC MP after winning the byelection tonight in Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes. This riding has been a conservative stronghold for 14 years and the voter support increased from 2015.

Here are the unofficial numbers. The NDP may end up in 4th place.

Conservative 2015 47.4% 2018 58.0% +10.6%
Liberal 2015 40.6% 2018 35.5% -5.1%
NDP 2015 8.4% 2018 3.1% -5.3%
Green 2015 3.7% 2018 3.0% -0.7%

Racheal Nuttly has got to go! Seriously. And, where the heck is Sheer? Where’s the Opposition??? Geez. Toronto may begin to resemble Paris soon, and I don’t mean that an Eiffel Tower is coming. No, just freeloading “migrants” looking for the best hand out.
You all are more passive than the French, but, seeing that Quebec is French speaking, perhaps its a warning to Canada. But hey, Trudeau is deaf, dumb & blind to the Real World. Who’s really running this govt.? It won’t happen in 6 months, but it WILL happen up there, too.

Ezra needs a dictionary. No “nationalisation” took place. Ownership of assets never changed hands. At the behest of a few troubled corporations and the environmental movement Notley imposed a hard cap on oilsands production. It isn’t as extreme as what Our Blessed Virgin Jason Kenney proposed but it is precisely what Big Green ordered. It is absurd to think this move will affect world oil prices, or even US refinery prices. Such talk is a ruse. Nevertheless, Ezra’s rap about socialism and nationalisation is worse than mere pandering to the knuckle-draggers; it’s barking up the wrong tree altogether; it’s lazy counter-productive analysis.

Karen, Carrol, ….Everything is centered around Supply & Demand, and both are problematic in Alberta.
There is too much Supply as every giant Storage Tank in Alberta is full, so there is no place for the Oil to go.
There is a Demand, however the product cannot get to Asia or even New Brunswick, as there are no pipelines.

It is pure lunacy to keep selling it to the Americans at a loss; they are laughing all the way to the Bank. It is paid American Protesters that put a halt to Canada’s Pipelines in Vancouver and Eastern Canada.
Trudeau and I believe Harper could have handled this if they instructed our Borders to turn back these troublemakers.

The whole point is Lower Production is only " temporary" until Demand catches up to Supply.
commented 2018-12-04 00:33:36 -0500
An obvious question then Karen, is – did Parliament meet to pass this money bill? News to me if it did….
commented 2018-12-04 00:33:36 -0500
Look. You just don’t understand Trudeau or Notley. They are better than us. Smarter, better dressed, happier and wealthier. Just admire them and maybe, just maybe you could be them someday! Just because you don’t personally understand why money goes where or why oil production should be shut down for years until we get our price… Look you can’t always understand genius. Canada is not falling apart, there is nothing to see here…move along.
commented 2018-12-04 00:30:54 -0500
And how can Flush Notley “nationalize” the Alberta oil patch? Does she have magical powers that extend into what is federal jurisdiction Meethinks the “lady doth protest too much”….
commented 2018-12-04 00:29:50 -0500
Hey Andy,
I would suggest this 50m expenditure was approved shortly before the tweet. Making the entire gov’t implusive & irresponsible.
Its actually much worse than we think!
commented 2018-12-04 00:13:50 -0500
Ahem!… Just by what authority or parliamentary procedure can The Boy Blunder pick up the phone and sign on to donate $50 million of Canadian taxpayers dollars without it being approved by Parliament? Maybe he’s donating from his own trust fund

Dirk Kanis-
There are more taxes than that.
OH YOU PEOPLE! You’re so angry!
Rest easy, evil destroys itself and stop singing this song.
You don’t like the gov’t? Run for office!
Take a joke about the song too 😊

Sheldon, I know it’s frustrating. I think the Liberals have been on this Globalist kick since Pierre Trudeau was PM and just neglected to mention it. One acceptable way to deal with things is to write your MP. I did that until it became crystal clear to me that the Liberals don’t listen to anyone except themselves. I don’t write to MP’s anymore. I’m not going to go out and do something to get arrested as some kind of lone wolf kook. I’m waiting until the penny drops and then I can join in.

Keith are you suggesting hot roddin a certain dicktraitor?…..

Dirk Lol, Kind of but I would start by sliding ice cubes up and down the rod to create enough friction to heat it.

@Keith Barnes – The English King who was reputedly murdered by having something red-hot shoved up his rectum was Edward II. Note that this act is not universally accepted as factual but it is probably a good thing for leaders to remember that people can sometimes react extremely unkindly towards their actions….
commented 2018-12-03 23:18:28 -0500
Would the last one to leave, please turn out the lights. Canada is not surviving the traitors from within. Notley and Trudeau are U.N. stooges. Spend 5 minutes researching that. Notley attended COPS21 in France as soon as she was elected. I don’t even need to say anything about Trudeau, there are so many examples of his true motives. Don’t spend too much time worrying about the future. Let me summarize it for you. “If you want a vision of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face – forever.” – George Orwell

commented 2018-12-03 22:39:43 -0500
Ron Joseph is right by saying that this has usually an immediate lift on the price of oil. But nothing has been done to correct the fundamental problems. This is only a temporary measure that usually is never enough to keep the price up. This is the start of a downward spiral. They’ll have to maintain the production low forever or they’ll have to lower it even further. Jobs losses are also to be expected, less volume, less jobs. Companies will not accept to be restricted for long. This is not a free economy, but the start of socialism, and we all know how it ends.
commented 2018-12-03 22:35:21 -0500
Whatever she does will be thrown out. Alberta’s next provincial general election will take place on or before May 31, 2019… As of Nov 12

“Among decided and leaning voters, the UCP led by Jason Kenney currently enjoy just over 54% support while the NDP have 29.1% support. The Alberta Party with Stephen Mandel at the helm have 5.5%. The Liberals led by David Khan are at 5.2%, and the Greens have 2.7% support. The new Freedom Conservative Party comes in with 2.5%. Start counting down.” As for the Fake Conservative/ Centrist “Alberta Party”. Why? The only upside of this is he might take votes away from the Liberals in Edmonton.

Ron Joseph-
I take that back. The inflated barrel is just going to increase taxes across the country I believe.
