NFL “anthem farce” continues while Goodell silences patriotic players

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

On last night's show, guest-host David "The Menzoid" Menzies reported on NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell's failure to stop the circus-sideshow of players kneeling during the national anthem.

Goodell has met with players and managers but accomplished nothing as many teams continued the protest last Sunday.

Despite Goodell's weak stance on anthem protests, he took a hardline on the Dallas Cowboys when he denied their request to wear a decal honoring the police officers shot and killed in August 2016. Goodell even threatened fines when Tennessee Titans linebacker Avery Williamson wanted to wear cleats commemorating the 15th anniversary of 9/11.

Goodell only seems to enforce NFL rules when it's politically correct...

Andrew Stephenson, protests at the workplace are highly inappropriate; unless workers are on strike or have been locked out.
Fans are sick of the players politicizing the game, and, are showing their displeasure in great numbers.

Look around the world, when a nation’s anthem is being played, citizens and guests stand. Anthems and flags are commonly shown respect.

“AWe don’t need to watch entitled, spoiled brats disrespecting their country. "

The US doesn’t automatically get respect for existing. It, like any other entity, needs to earn that respect. If the players feel ashamed of what their country has become, it is well within their rights to display that.

Unless you don’t believe in freedom of speech. At which point, patriotism is mandatory, At which point, freedom will be celebrated, at gunpoint if necessary.

These self important megalomaniacs seem to think people cannot live without their game , but when it comes down to it, many will decide that it is not worth getting crapped on while paying way too much for a game.

The NFL is like the restaurant you frequented for years and then you get food poisoning one night and you never go back.

I’d like to thank the NFL and all the un-patriotic players for their actions or inaction’s depending who you are talking about. I decided to stop watching football after witnessing the actions of some of it’s un-patriotic “entitled” players. Now I find myself with more quality time to spend with my family.

I support the boycott against the NFL for this very reason. We don’t need to watch entitled, spoiled brats disrespecting their country.
