No joke: “South Park” creators admit they're Republicans — while accepting prestigious liberal award

Amanda HeadRebel Contributor

The long-running animated series South Park may be crude and tasteless, but not only is it funny, the show is also pretty fearless about satirizing everyone, left and right.

Before South Park mocked NAMBLA and Scientology, few people knew the disturbing facts about these two organization. Yes, they make fun of Trump, but their constant skewering of "progressive" trends like speech codes and "trans" everything made me suspect that the show's creators, Matt Stone and Trey Parker, weren't as liberal as most of their Hollywood colleagues.

Sure enough, this week Parker and Stone accepted an award from a powerful far-left showbiz group — and what happened at the ceremony was as iconoclastic as one of their best scripts...

Andrew, thank you for proving my point.

Andrew it is cute that you act like a feminist while not saying a damn thing when the left craps on strong women because they are not Liberals.

Andrew Stephenson it is cute you think you know if they were joking or not.

It’s cute that people think they were serious. A couple guys who have spent 20 years being contrary and irreverent presented an opportunity to troll the crowd? Yeah, I’m sure they were being 100% serious. .

Liza, I doubt they will be invited back.

I love South Park. I’m not in the least bit surprised to hear they do not come from the left. Everyone knows there is no humour coming from the left, its too risky. In fact its hard to imagine anyone thought South Park might not be coming from the right. I hope they keep doing what they are doing for a long time to come.

It must have been fun acknowledging their political status in front of that group. Hopefully they got the award first before their proclamation and will they ever be invited back?
