Nobody wants the 2026 Winter Olympics

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Host | The Gunn Show

On this week's episode of The Gunn Show, William McBeath of Save Calgary joined me to discuss Sapporo, Japan, ending their bid to host the 2026 Winter Olympics and the prospect of Calgary becoming a two-time Olympic host city getting closer to reality.

But Calgary's municipal government continues to pursue a lowballed $5.2B estimated boondoggle waiting to happen.

Olympic games should never ever be financed from the public purse. Let private sponsors come forth. The Olympics are just Big Government and Big Finance getting their corrupted hands in the pot.
