Jason Dubrule is a man on a mission. The Falher area man is walking from his home in Northern Alberta to the Legislature buildings to bring awareness to families that are losing their homes in the economic downturn.
Jason is lucky. He still has a job but he’s concerned that Rachel Notley’s taxes and debt are strangling Alberta small businesses and harming families who are struggling with unemployment. I caught up to Jason about half way through his 400km journey, just south of Fox Creek. He and two friends were pushing their wagon down the side of highway 43. Despite having been on the road for five days, Jason had a lot to say.
Watch my video to see Jason talk about the physical toll he’s experiencing, the outpouring of support he’s received from the public and his surprise visitor on the road.
Jason Dubrule tells me he wants Alberta families to be as valuable to Rachel Notley as her favourite special interests groups. He wants the Federal Liberals to treat Alberta families as well as they treat Bombardier or the CBC.
I hope to see Jason Dubrule and his war weary wagon on the Legislature steps.
