The Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB) is getting the run around from the Notley NDP with regard to access to information documents.
The CFIB went looking for documents relating to the cost of the administration of the NDP’s new carbon tax. While the CFIB got back some numbers, the details and specifics were heavily redacted.
That’s how the NDP operate: in secret.
And I know better than anyone.
If the NDP aren't redacting all the useful parts of the documents I request, they are handing me huge bills, long delays, and denials that we have to appeal. It’s all designed to waste our time and money.
I actually requested the same documents the CFIB did and it took me seven months and two large bills to get much of the same heavily redacted paper waste.
But there was something in there the NDP just couldn't redact:
How clueless they are when it comes to matters of budgeting.
There are a half a dozen different cost estimates for the administration of the carbon tax. I guess the NDP are throwing everything at the wall to see what sticks. What a way to govern!
Even though the NDP stonewalling and paywalling has become so routine for me that we have a special fundraising site to circumvent it — WhatiIsSheHiding.com — the mainstream media only reports when the NDP blocks anyone but us.
I suspect it’s because they resent the job we do and that we ask the questions they are unwilling to ask.
