The NDP have had a massive shuffle of their staff. And they did it right before Christmas because they don’t want you to notice.
Last week Graham Mitchell left his role as chief of staff in the Energy portfolio.
Remember that guy? He was the anti-oil, anti-fracking, anti-Alberta, LeadNow activist from Toronto who spent years organizing against Alberta and against Canadian energy.
His life's work was making sure pipelines weren't built and he was Notley’s first choice to head up the Energy Ministry. It was crazy.
But British Columbia has a big election coming up and the anti-energy, anti-everything people have to get organized there so Mitchell went back to the hive in Ontario to prepare for the battle of BC.
With 200,000 Albertans unemployed, most from the energy sector, Notley must have hired someone with experience in oil and gas - an Albertan who knows the industry and can advocate and work to get Alberta’s energy to market, right?
Of course not. Notley hired yet another out of province activist.
That activist is Marcella Munro, the current director of stakeholder outreach at the McDougall Centre and a BC imported anti-pipeline campaigner who worked with Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson to block Alberta pipelines.
Another fox in the henhouse.
