Notley’s anti-oil “chickens come home to roost” in Trans Mountain skirmish

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Host | The Gunn Show

It’s been another wild week in the saga of the Trans Mountain Pipeline in the Balkan States of Canada.

Former Saskatchewan premier Brad Wall spit hot fire at the Trudeau Liberals for their silence on the ongoing trade rift between Alberta and BC over the Trans Mountain pipeline.

He's concerned that Canada’s in danger of losing its national cohesion and accuses the Federal government of being ashamed of Canada’s oil and gas sector.

Former BC Premier Christy Clark said her successor John Horgan's opposition to Kindermorgan’s $7.4B project is illegal and unconstitutional.

Alberta United Conservative Party leader Jason Kenny said he will not forget Horgan's actions against Alberta saying “if the BC government is threatening to violate the constitution, they can't do it without repercussions.”

And over in BC, Rachel Notley’s OSAG hire, Tzeporah Berman is willing to go back to the slammer if it means stopping the pipeline saying:

“Nobody likes conflict. I’ve been to jail and it’s not a pleasant place and I’m not looking forward to going back there. But we’ll do what it takes.”

In the BC legislature, the right of centre BC Liberals want to know why BC’s Environment Minister George Heyman met with Tzeporah Berman at an eco-radical planning retreat -especially after she promised illegal civil disobedience.

And Trudeau still isn’t stepping in to resolve any of this. What is it that he does around here, exactly?

Andy & Ron, Thank You for the nice comments!
The main reason that I think that Canada is in trouble is that almost EVERYONE that I have known or dealt with in the past here in London ON, is “brainwashed” to the point that some are almost resorting to violence when you mention that you are a TRUMP supporter. Everyone is so tense & on edge, that I have to be cautious about who I speak to about what & it never used to be like this, ever!
One of my friends who I have known since 79’ is a millionaire plumbing & heating company owner & has about 25 employees. He won’t let on that he is a Trump supporter to many of his employees & none of his retail customers, for fear of losing business or hassles with his employees.
Of course London ON is a Sanctuary City & every-time the is an incident involving a Muslim in Canada, the first thing that the local TV news channel does is they send a reporter to the local mosque & put Muslims on the TV news that are crying about how they (in general) are going to get blamed for the crimes of other Muslims. But yet, most Muslims refuse to denounce other Muslims for their actions & I feel that this is one of the main reasons that most people that I know do not truly trust them.
I think that The Last Refuge is a perfect name for a Conservative Website, as we certainly feel outnumbered by the all the “Liberal Loons” here in North America.

That is indeed an excellent site John Good… The Americans know what we know – Krystie With The Red Dress On and her team are in deep doo-doo – and it is going to be “a long hot summer” this year… And am I mistaken or has the loonie stayed frozen in value for the past week or so?…

John Good—-Thanks , great reading, everyone here would love to see how Justin was played with by Trump in the Refuge. (2nd link)
I still think most Canadians will blame Trudeau when they hear that he got out maneuvered so easily by Trump. Even before the sh=t hits the fan, they are wondering why he is getting the cold shoulder from China, now India. Even the Refuge comments were great; amazing how so many people can hate our loser PM.

Ron, unfortunatly I feel that Trump will get the blame for their job(?) losses. I have watched enough video clips on this site, that Trudeau & his Liberals have “brainwashed” enough people, with the help of the “corrupt MSM” in this country, to help him win the next Election.
Besides, I’m pretty sure that you know that Trudeau was “the preferred candidate to win the Last Election”, as he was chosen by the Globalists to replace Harper, because Harper would not sign Canada onto the Paris Climate Accord Scam ( the same one that Trump got the US out of)! I was perusing the Internet last year & came across a You Tube video about Christopher Monckton speaking in Brisbane Australia about the fact that the Globalist were planning on replacing Harper with someone who would do their bidding! This was BEFORE the Election of Trudeau! Just for my own peace of mind, I actually did some online research & found more interviews with Christopher Monckton where he stated the same thing. Add O’Bama visiting Trudeau here in Canada & I read that George Soros donated money to Trudeau & that when someone searched for Harper or the Conservatives on Google, Google made sure that their searches were re-directed to something not as “factual” as what they were looking for. Add some Election Fraud into the mix & all the slimey MSM against him & Harper didn’t have a fair chance of winning the last Election. Now we have our own “White O’Bama” here in Canada or as Mark Steyn calls him a “Socialist Twit”.
I just don’t know for sure if a voter backlash will be enough to save Canada. Now, if enough people in the Rest of the World see what Trump is accomplishing in the States (he would have a lot more of his Election Promises accomplished if he didn’t have the Deep State, the “fake news” MSM, Hollywood & numerous other groups working against him) they might think that this is something that I want to happen in my own Country also.
Word is that there will be arrests & charges brought against upper management within the FBI, the CIA, the NSA, the DOJ, the Clinton Foundation & the big slimeball traitor himself Barrack O’Bama, all within this year. Also, the Trump DOJ must go after the financiers like Soros, that are funding these radical movements. These people should be made examples of to prevent anyone else from trying to do the same thing a generation or two down the road.
In my lifetime, I cannot think of anyone more qualified to do the job than Donald J. Trump & his Family, because if they fail, then there is no-one else that cares enough(that is any position to do something about it) about North America to save it.

JOHN GOOD—Great thinking in your memo. Anybody in Canada that thinks Trudeau could out maneuver Trump in business is a uninformed Liberal.
Since you have done much research in this subject, here is a question.
If NAFTA falls like we agree it will, who will thousands of S. Ontario Employees blame , Trump or Trudeau? If I got laid off, I would blame the PM as he was supposed to fight and take care of my job. Why blame a Foreign Leader? Other people here say I’m wrong as Trudeau will tell everyone that Trump is a terrible person and get pity from the voters. The reason for this question is I believe there will be a Voter Backlash against Trudeau for very high unemployment.

TO ALL YOU NDP SOCIALIST/COMMUNIST CRIMINAL MLA’s
Specifically to Notley, I told you last year I won’t pay you one red cent of your criminal carbon tax so I went out and bought a gas powered pig of a Dodge 2500 6.4l Hemi Ram then I made sure I left it plugged in all night this winter, and then I leave it idle untill it reaches 165F. All the while I leave my thermostate in the house set all night to no less than 72F, my wife loves a warm house in the winter. When the day comes once a year to shut off lights I turn every light on in the house and turn up the thermostate to 74 degrees and take off my shirt and watch the Rebel online while writing a check for my next political contribution for any other party besides lieberals and the No Development Party, including charities/Christian organizations that the communist NDP has targeted. All the while eating a huge Alberta grown beef steak I grilled on the gas BBQ. Now I am laughing all the way to the bank with a big fat refund check thats more than the cost of the carbon tax and we were able to help others endure the criminality heaped on them by the communist criminal Notley Destroys Alberta Party. What else do you got Notley? The worse you criminals get the more blessed we are!!!!!!!!!!!!

Andy & Ron, President Trump really has NO CHOICE except to cancel the NAFTA, especially after Trudeau made the Trade Deals with the Asians, etc. Canada has been allowing Countries like China, Japan, Germany, etc. to manufacture US vehicles using foreign parts & then shipping them to the US & avoiding paying tariffs on US Content Laws. Same with Mexico.
Trump has to put a stop to this, to get companies & jobs & prosperity back to the US. There will be a “Giant Sucking Sound” (to quote Ross Perot) caused by the US Manufacturers abandoning Canada, especially to avoid High Overhead here caused by Cap & Trade Tax, Minimum Wage Requirements & other stupid Gov’t Regulations that make it less attractive to do business in Canada.
And, don’t think that the COC, the Unions, multi-national corporations & banks who have invested trillions of dollars in this Global Economy Scam, etc. will be able to stop President Trump from cancelling NAFTA. There is something called Article 22 in the NAFTA contract that allows the POTUS to cancel the contract after 6 months written notice. Right now President Trump is just “playing his opponents” in this particular business transaction… this is what he does best. He did not get to be one of the most successful billion real estate developers in the World by chance & has been one of my mentors since the early 80’s & now he is the most important person in the World & I am so proud to see him there.
Sorry, but I just wanted to give some hope to the skeptics here (if there are any) of President Trump’s abilities to change his Country for the better. I wish we had somebody here in Canada that had the necessary business experience for the Job Position, but unfortunately for us, we do not have an Electoral College based system as in the States, so I guess we are “f*cked” as next Election, Toronto & Montreal will determine the National Election across Canada, AGAIN!
If anyone is interested here, by far my favorite website for “honest, easy to understand, Conservative News” about what is really happening in the US, is the Conservative Treehouse or the Last Refuge. Sundance who writes most of the articles is so knowledgeable about everything gov’t related & must have quite a large pool of resources, that he can draw on for help. And, be sure to read the Reader’s Comments section after the articles. There is a wealth of knowledge there, particularily if you want to know about what the Real US is about.

I agree Andy Neimers, I can see The Liberals trying to convince Canadians that with Trudeau’s new Trading Partners, we don’t need that mean USA anymore.
That is like telling people they can live without 85% of their paycheck.

Leafs may get into Semi-finals if Goal tending gets consistent.

Nice synopsis of present day reality Ron Joseph!… NAFTA reality will prevail above all else in the coming months, countering the dreams and BS of the LiberaLs, the Greenies, Buttskie, Red Dress Krystie, Climate Barbie, and above all else, our Boy Blunder… If you don’t think the world’s largest economy, driven by Trump “Elephant Next Door” Ideals, is not going to prevail near and afar, then you are still probably hoping the Maple Leafs are going to win the Stanley Cup???

Ont. No NAFTD and their jobs are gone. It doesn’t look like Trudeau even wants a deal.
Man. People and Gov. seem happy with Border Jumpers; maybe JT pays them.
Albt & Sask —No Pipelines, continue to sell Oil at below world prices to US.
BC They will soon find out they are screwed with an NDP Gov., and a Fed. Liberal Gov.

Nothing fills my heart more than the growing discord in Canada.

As the rifts between the provinces grow wider, JT chooses to do nothing. Apart from flying around the world and pretending to be someone of importance, JT has decided to leave the work to his gang of incompetents. Clearly, JT is too important, too intelligent, too regal to actually do any work. Why should he? Governance by virtue signaling is easy. The rise of American Manifest Destiny is all but assured. There are great days ahead, provided Alberta abandons the Canadian Failure and comes to the American Dream.

James Scott—Thanks for clarification; however Toronto Star is wrong. If Fed. Libs lost 12 seats in BC because of pipeline going through, Libs would still have huge Majority.
Libs =183 seats – 12 = 171new total
Cons = 97 +12 = 109 new total

Andy Neimers—Yes its hard to explain that the BC Prov. Liberals and Conservatives have the same name and are the same Party.
Ezra just gave out a BC Pipeline Poll which I can believe: 48% pro pipeline and 43% against

Can’t disagree with anything you’ve said, Sheila. However, NOTHING is going to change in BC or Alberta till the private sectors get off their arses and plug up Edmonton and Vancouver for as long as it takes. Paralyse urban traffic and commerce, surround the legislatures, and give these rotten effin’ governments the kind of extended coverage they deserve.

For anyone thinking that Rachael Notely has one iota of sincerity about getting Trans Mountain done you only need look briefly into her past. You don’t just do an about face after you have spent the better part of your life being an annoying mouth piece hell bent on keeping fossil fuels in the ground, and insisting narry another pipeline ever be built. As far as I’m concerned, she is simply an artist in what I would call “NDP taquiyya”. Her concern lies with power and re-election, so this pipeline will be where she draws the line. If it goes the dippers will get badly needed revenues to cover the abysmal financial failings they have brought to Alberta, if not Rachael can wallow in her life long eco-freak leap manifesto dream of a utopian clean energy society. She can play it either way and adjust her rhetoric accordingly. Her recent bluster and support of the project has the air of PHONINESS. She hires Berman, Mahone and the like to gum up the process in Alberta’s energy sector, then they get shipped conveniently to BC as poison pills as this whole farce unfolds. In the meantime Trudeau plods along in his usual manner and in effect is as usual….USELESS. The charade will continue with the usual fan fare. Suzuki types, the appropriate amount of indigenous, the elitist greens and of course the Tide’s paid protestors cabal….all will be there in full anti pipeline force. Violence and much ugliness is almost sure to ensue.

Ron Joseph…. don’t think you should put much hope in Jim Carr. When the door was slammed shut on Energy East Carr’s chicken shit response was so sickening and weak he should have been strung up by his nuts…if he has any. Add in the bimbosity of our valley girl straw haired weather vane Minister of shit for brains, our work is definitely cut out for us….but we Must stick together and MUST fight on.

As usual thanks to all for the great comments….GO REBEL.

“If Trudeau does overpower B.C.’s environmental objections, however, he risks losing a dozen or so B.C. Liberal MPs, a cohort essential to winning a new majority government.”

If I’m not mistaken I believe the Federal Liberals hold 17 of 42 seats.

I was born in Vancouver (VGH) and lived in Metro Vancouver all my life. The people I talk to, and that can be in a line up at Costco or wherever support this pipeline. This Government here in B.C. is a joke. John Horgan (NDP) is dumb as a stump but loves the media attention and being Premier. Andrew Weaver (Green Party) in actually a smart guy. So Weaver plays Horgan like a fiddle. If Weaver and the Green Party ever became Government, you mise well move out of B.C. I don’t see the Green’s becoming government as there strength is around S. Vancouver Island. Plus some support in Metro Vancouver. As for our Fruit-Loop PM he also played Notley like a fiddle. Bring in a Carbon Tax and I will OK the pipeline. Trudeau could care less about anything west of Ontario. He knows he will win the east and then win the election. Anybody stupid enough west of Ontario to vote Liberal is just gravy for him. So in 2019 Notley should be through in out on her face. If we are luky so will the Drama Teacher. Good luck Canada.

Ron Joseph and James Scott… I for one don’t trust any polls saying the majority of British Columbians don’t support pipelines, or for that matter, LNG export terminals… There is a marked difference in the opinions of Coast and Vancouver Island residents and those living in the interior and the north…But even on Vancouver Island let us remember there is a “B.C. Liberal i.e. consrvative” riding… B.C.’s fragile government is the creation of the Horgan NDP/Weaver Green Tango and it remains to see how long that will last… I also wonder how many of these “pollsters” speak Chinese?.. Greater Vancouver has a massive Chinese speaking population and many amongst them would like to see LNG and oil being exported to their kinfolk in China…

James Scot—Good Summary. You say that almost all the BC MP Ridings oppose the pipeline expansion, at least according to polls. The question is, did they vote Federal Liberal? If they did, Trudeau will have to get the project moving ASAP, so it won’t be an Election Issue as it would be already built or the point of no return.
commented 2018-02-17 21:48:44 -0500
These are the reason the Liberal were at 3% before all you ass hats forgot why they were at 3%. Chretien had the red book Trudeau had the blue book . But no matter what color they make it the stench always follows . There will be no pipelines till Canada is de-Liberaled .

One day, Notley hates pipelines with a passion & the next day, she’s a huge fan of this God given resource. HELLO!!!!!!!
Come on, we all know that the reason for this 360 is the revenues are dwindling & she’s looking for a second term. I hope by now that Albertans have woken up from this nightmare & will put the X in the right place in the voting booth.
As for Trudeau, he could stop all this BC NDP Madness in a heart beat, but his silence on the matter is deafening. He keeps repeating that the pipeline will be built, but hasn’t done a damn thing to get this project started. Canada can do better, isn’t that what he always says about everything, well it’s high time that Trudeau did better & soon before this pipeline vanishes into thin air & that would be a tragedy, because we know that with all the extra regulations coming from Climate Barbie, there won’t be one company stupid enough to apply & go through hell only to be told their project has not been approved. So Climate Barbie & Trudeau may as well start disassembling the NEB because there won’t be a need for it.Someone in another post said America will become energy sufficient & won’t need Canada’s oil, so who then do we sell our oil to, bunch of Liberal numbscumbs. Selfies, cool socks & nice hair, that’ll sure keep our economy on the right track.

This just gets more ridiculous each hour.

The once pipeline and oil sands hater Notley is saying Alberta needs pipelines built. She more than once bragged about having gained social licence from Trudeau because of her draconian imposition of NDP carbon tax. Hell even Al Gore gave her a big Paris hug. Nutcase Tzepara Berman was even touted to be integral while sitting as a co-chair on an energy board or whatever Notley called it.
Now Berman is ready to go to jail in oder to prevent the pipeline from being expanded.
And Trudeau?
Well he’s off to India. It’s so hot in Parliament, he decided to go to India.
And Horgan? He is appealing the most recent NEB decision that gives KM permission to move forward on the Burnaby tunnel. Horgan is three Green votes away from losing government.
Notley gave Trudeau and Horgan till Monday to stop acting like idiots and act more Canadian. That’s a laugh.
The way I see it, the only thing Notley can do that won’t hurt Albertans and or KM is to rescind her NDP Carbon Tax. I bet she’s pissed with Trudeau for making her out as a fool.
Trudeau hasn’t got a clue what to do. He really doesn’t.
Not even a gender neutral wind turbine or solar panel promise is going to do the trick. And Gerald Butts can’t be of much help either. There is zero reasoning with Trudeau’s confidant. And Climate Barbie’s environmental activists who she always panders to are ready to go to jail. Dizzy Lizzy is apparently ready to offer up her dead body to prevent this pipeline from being built. (That’s a solid reason right there for ensuring the Trans Mountain gets built)
The way it is shaping up, Trudeau is going to need the BC seats to form government in 2019. Polls suggest almost all the BC MP ridings oppose the pipeline expansion.
If this pipeline wasn’t already in place KM would have bailed long ago.
Watching these nitwits run things is borderline hilarious. The terrible downside is the $$$ billions these nuts have cost Canada.
What a bloody joke.

Roy Jeanine…. That, right now, is one of the biggest “insanities” evident in the world for all to see… We have gas fields stretching from the Peace River country in Northern B.C., through northern Alberta and right into northern Saskatchewan… (Bigger in land mass than most European countries!)… But we’re going to play “solar” and “wind farm” games? Or maybe throw in a bit of “tidal power” and “thermal wells”? Obstruct the building of new hydro dams and doubling oil and gas pipelines?? Obviously not all Canadians are brain-fried on marijuana, but too many – especially in Ottawa – evidently are…
