Notley's not upset over cancelled Keystone XL: She and Obama are both "leftist, anti-oil industry activists"

Rebel Staff

So Rachel Notley, the anti-oil NDP premier of Alberta, had a press conference about Obama cancelling the Keystone XL pipeline today.

That pipeline would have shipped 800,000 barrels of ethical oil to the U.S, displacing their OPEC conflict oil imports from Venezuela.

She said she wasn’t upset that it was cancelled. She was just upset that Obama called it dirty oil.

But that’s what she’s been calling it for years.

Anyway, just a few months ago she made it clear she was against Keystone XL herself.

Like Justin Trudeau, now she’s going to double down on her attacks on the oil industry, by bringing in new carbon taxes at the UN global warming summit.

You have an NDP government in Alberta promising carbon taxes, and a Liberal government in Ottawa promising carbon taxes, and the U.S. cancelled the Keystone XL pipeline anyways. But both Notley and Trudeau are going to bring in those carbon taxes anyways.

Because it was never really about pleasing Obama or getting market access.

They just want to do it because they hate the oil patch.

The NDP budget is a disaster. 50,000 are out of work. Investment is fleeing the province.
SIGN THE PETITION to tell Rachel Notley stop her war on oil and gas jobs in Alberta.

CHARLES MOULTON, “I look at my kids and I have to say it starts to bring tears to my eyes. Because as of now I fully know now, they will never have the freedoms I was blessed with… I do thank my Fathers and Mothers and Grand Fathers and Grand Mothers for their strength and determination so I could have this freedom.” Charles, one of the saddest comments that I have read by those commenting at The Rebel.

I really need to read more carefully. The headline caught my eye, but missed who the author was. I can’t believe you continue to spew this nonsense.

Currently in the U.S.A. there are close to 1.2 million Americans employed in the defense and aerospace manufacturing industries. There are over another 800,000 Americans employed in the defense and homeland security industries administration. Approximately 1.5 million Americans have full time jobs within the various ranks of the U.S. military and almost 500,000 part-time military reservists. U.S. para-military police services employ at least 1.2 million full time officers and about 400,000 part-timers. In total there are over 5.6 million jobs today in the U.S. that are directly related to the businesses of humans carrying lethal weapons for their use with exercising fatal force at random.

Therefore when the U.S. government claims that developing pollutant reduced energy infrastructures with it’s peaceful northern neighbour is not in their ‘national interest’, perhaps what they really mean is they do want to break the cycle of violence and fear their citizens live in 24/7, because they are too lazy in having to re-train millions of humans in jobs that do not entail killing or maiming other humans.

The sooner we build that wall along the border, the saner Canadians will become. Once more Canadians realize that there is nothing to fear from utilizing natural occurring hydrocarbons without conventional methods of combustion, the less paranoid fearful we will become. The sooner Canadians learn the true scientific facts that Earth’s climate is regulated by the tilt of it’s axis away or toward and distance Earth is located from it’s primary star (Sun), is no different to how all other masses of rocks in our known Universe various gaseous atmospheric temperatures are heated, the better off all of humanity will be.

Please give Peace a chance, boycott traveling to the U.S. until they stop trading body bags for barrels of hydrocarbons and they stop trying to bully Canada into appeasing their mis-guided, delinquent societal behaviours.

What a lark. Obama said Kerry recommended that Keystone be killed. Yeah right! As if Obama was going to accept any other choice.

Obama said he was cancelling the pipeline because it wasn’t in the U.S.‘s"national interest". It wasn’t in Canada’s national interest to go into Afghanistan either but we went in for what we thought was a friend. The next time the U.S. invades a country ( and they will) we’ll be sure to tell them it’s not in Canada’s " national interest" to join them.

EARL RICHARDS so you think the gulf oil spill was cleaned up OMG just keep removing the doubt
commented 2015-11-07 09:50:25 -0500
I think Mr. Obama should maybe check out one of his states called Montana. You want to see dirty oil? Rusted out and horrible safety standards…….but Alberta is dirty. What a joke.
They will still ship this stuff, but now instead of clean pipelines, it will be by rail. Railway cars speeding down the track with more toxins fuming than emissions from the plants itself.
And don’t even get me started on the whole ‘global warming’ or ‘fighting the climate’ bs……
commented 2015-11-07 09:40:20 -0500
What IS optimal global temp.? Trillions of dollars have been raised, no,sorry, stolen, to combat" global warming". What has that money been used for? If trillions hasn’t “solved” the issue, HOW MUCH MONEY WILL IT TAKE? WHERE WILL IT COME FROM?

Just askin’

The Keystone XL pipeline was a stupid idea to begin with, because there is no equipment to clean-up a toxic, tar sands spill. Remember the Kalamazoo.

can anybody tell me what the climate should be changed to? Just wondering; all that we’vw heard about, for years, is climate cgange, climate change, climate change. GLOBAL WARMING, GLOBAL WARMING, GLOBAL WARMING.

Hello to all the true Albertans that care, It is time we start to stand up for our beautiful province and take down this government.

This woman has lost all control.
How can we keep taking this shit. I thought we were all strong Albertans. I will be the first one to stand, if that is needed, to get everyone off their asses and start to stand up to this crazy bitch. As everyone knows I try to stay calm and I don’t like bashing the governments or put them down to much. That is because I believe in freedom and they were voted in. But it is very obvious this woman has lost all of her senses. How could any leader in Canada want to bring down their own province? This isn’t Africa or the Middle East. This crazy bitch is going to take us all down, with out even firing one shot or even having us “that are strong” thrown into jail. Have we became this soft in the west, that this person is actually going to take everything our fathers and Grand Fathers worked so hard for and just flush it down the toilet. I look at my kids and I have to say it starts to bring tears to my eyes. Because as of now I fully know now, they will never have the freedoms I was blessed with… I do thank my Fathers and Mothers and Grand Fathers and Grand Mothers for their strength and determination so I could have this freedom.

Notley wants to make it more difficult to move oil out of Alberta. The only way to get it out now is by rail. Intead of helping she puts in another road block. She just raised the tax on locomotive oil from one and half cents to five and one half cents per liter. Hardly a way to help the industry.
We probaluy would not have heard about this if not for the Rebel. The Sun newspaper hid it on page 16 of their paper. A good way for the public not to hear about it

The sad thing is that there are technologies that could make energy production more efficient (eliminating tailings) that the companies don’t want to invest in, and the government ignores. So instead of developing forward they just step back, as if they’ll wash their hands of it. As someone who spent 20 years elevating the standards of the world I am grieving.

George Soros to me, is a financier of terrorism in this country, put money into “Idle No More” which caused a number of unlawful protests in cities everywhere. Also runs “Black Lives Matter” and “La Raza” among others, really seems to be pounding at the fragility of relative racial harmony, exploiting people’s differences. Time to kick this old European demon out of this goddamn country altogether. Time to go back to your cave Soros, you are more than unwanted here.
commented 2015-11-06 19:40:54 -0500
Hey Albertans, when you’ve finally had your fill of Nutley and decide to move west, drop me a line….the first rounds on me.
commented 2015-11-06 19:38:57 -0500
It does suck that the pipeline didn’t go. At risk of sounding like a broken record here, once again, George Soros’ hands in cookie jar. How do I NOT vote for George Soros when he controls most of the candidates? Anybody else getting sick of seeing this globalist involved in every major problem that faces society??

If you think I’m wrong, type in ‘George Soros+Keystone XL’ and search it.

Trudeau should pull Soros’ money out of this country, he is a terrorist and known agitator of the social realm for financial gain. Maybe we can’t arrest him, but keep him the hell out of here. I guarantee if Soros was out of here, they’d stop with the tranny garbage at schools. He is raping this country from a foreign location.

Wayne Rebel , what Notley is doing says otherwise. You are the fool if you believe her garbage, maybe look at the recent budget , how is that pro oil?

Ezra says: “They hate the oil patch.”
Notley says: "We’re working hard with stakeholders and we intend to act decisively to increase the likelihood of getting our product to tidewater…. Canada currently exports over three million barrels a day to the U.S., and those exports will continue. Our trading relationship with the United States is of fundamental importance to Alberta, and we will work to build on it. Alberta’s energy industry is important to families here and across the country and I will work hard every day to support its sustainability.”

People don’t really believe this Ezra fool, do they??

Obama, the biggest hypocrite. When he leaves office, he will be very rich. Notley is a disgrace. There is never anything nice to say about the blowhard climate change fear mongers. After she introduces more taxes, she will bring in the provincial sales tax. But what the hell does she care as the unemployment figures grow in Ab, she’s not worried one bit, her paycheque will be secure, thanks to all the hard working Albertans. This is outrageous!!!!!
