Notley Slams Poor Albertans With Carbon Tax on Home Heating

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

On last night's show, Sun columnist Lorne Gunter joined me to discuss the impact of the Alberta NDP's carbon tax.

An extra $100 increase in the cost of heating for wealthy Albertans may be manageable, but for the poor who have to heat their homes just as often, it can be an unbearable new financial burden.

The NDP like to pretend they're the defenders of working-class Canadians, if any other party was taxing home heating in the middle of a cold snap they would lead a rebellion.

Everyone must stop their whining.
Sell your homes and buy a small apartment to live in for the warmer months in Canada and purchase a house/condo in a warm climate where real estate is cheap, such as Haiti or Sudan, where you can live the high life for less than the cost of heating a house in Canada in the dead of winter.

Billy it is really too bad that no Canadian government of any stripe has had the vision and acted on the request of Grand Turk and Caicos Islands to become part of Canada. Think of all the money that leaves the country in the winter that wouldn’t if GT& C were a part of the Dominion. I believe they have been asking us for something like 100 years.

Time for everyone to write their MP.

Of course the NDP are SOB’s for putting the tax in but…

ALL governments have been notorious for NEVER REMOVING a tax.

So when Alberta gets a new government in the next election, they better remove these taxes or they own’t be any better than the SOB’s they replace.

Just look at Trudeau’s & Notley’s face in the intro, laughing at everybody, makes me want to spit. Still going on with their bloody carbon tax because their little brain is still resisting the fact that the climate is not warming up but cooling down. The temperatures have been extreme all over Canada for the past 2 weeks or more, but they won’t budge from their stance. They won’t be happy until we all end up in the poor house. Here, Manitoba Hydro have started increasing the price & are looking for increases for years to come. This is immoral as I’m sure some people are going without necessities to heat their homes.

Nutly and turdo are trying to get regular Canadians out of their homes.
!. Raise taxes so much hard working Canadians can no longer afford their homes.
2. where will the tens of thousands of homes come from for the welfare fakugees and illegal border crosser,s come from?
3. Stolen via extreme taxes on the working class Canadians.
4. Buy up said homes for pennys on the dollar and turn them into private run government housing.
5. Government friends now install fakeugees and illegal migrants in those homes.
6. The Canadian tax payer now pays the exorbitant heating cost and taxes to the governments special friends.
7. Illegals and fakeugees dont have to pay anything and move into you your home cost free.
8 This is how you buy votes,Fakugees and Illegals will be sooooo happy to vote liebral.
9. Fast track citizenship for the above special people.
10. your tax dollars at work to get liebral NDP votes.

From what I understand from my limited knowledge of Canadian political history, there is a slightly similar pattern to ours in Australia. After a period of time, the electorate loses connection with the Conservative ‘Government of the Day’, and votes in a Leftist ‘Change’ Government, somewhat oblivious to policy and platform. Once in power, the ‘new’ government brings in it’s ever-increasing Leftist agenda until sufficient numbers of the ‘swing’ electorate realise the folly of this process, AND the Conservative opposition re-organise sufficiently, to re-establish voter confidence.
The good people of Canada, as with the good people of Australia, no matter what their political ‘labeling’, are the arbiters in this process.
I ask the Conservatives in Canada to be strong, informed and vocal, but above all, be united in your opposition to the Leftist agenda.
In Australia, the ‘Conservative’ vote has been splintered by the ‘Leftification’ of the Liberal Party (even whilst in Government, the gutless wonders!), the relative impotence of the Nationals as Coalition partners, the rise of what is seen as a more right wing One Nation Party (more self-interested and politically confused than right wing I believe), the establishment of the Australian Conservatives as an alternative to the Liberal Party, and the inability of successive Coalition Governments to effectively deal with the iniquitous operation of our Federal Senate as a House of Rejection rather than it’s constitutional House of Review function, via various Labor/Greens/Independent/minor party agendas and collusion. An elected Centre Right Government is lurching Centre Left, and handing government at the next election, to a Leftist/Green alternative.
Political conservatism has always been based upon standing on principals, consistency and stability, and despite the ‘broad church’ nature of membership, a body united. The Left is based upon gaining intellectual and physical control of public institutions, the mainstream media, the judiciary, the public service, academia and education, and now, social media. A very formidable platform for political and public control!
If you are to remove Mr Trudeau and the Left/Green cartel quickly or at all, you have to be strong, good and above all, united. Good luck, Canada.

Let the migration begin!
For those who can’t escape work for half the year or can’t afford a little place in Somalia: Just keep paying those high taxes for the greater good…and smile.
If you can’t smile, Trudeau fixed that problem too: smoke a doobie!

Notley isn’t fit to shine Margaret Thatcher’s shoes. Can you imagine if we even had a male politician in Canada that could compare to the Iron Lady? How different our economy would be. Let’s hope that Jason Kenney comes close, because AB is being decimated at every level, which means the rest of Canada will be pulled down to the gutter too. I hope Kenney fires all the teachers’ and enacts legislation to make it optional to be a union member, so that the future generations stand a chance. We need to start in our schools because they are being programmed to accept communism, which does not bode well for humanity!

As far as Notley and her activist Leap Manifesto caucus are concerned, the Carbon Tax on natural gas is a sin tax. When in fact NG is essential to keeping you and your family warm.
Rather than championing and promoting the life style Albertans enjoy to fellow Canadians and the rest of the world she scorns and demonizes hardworking Albertans.
People in Alberta no longer dissapprove of Notley they despise her.

I am so terribly disgusted by this sub-human nutley and her evil cabinet. These government parasites are just unbelievable and unbearable human beings. As if all we buy is priced extremely high already, but, no, that isn’t enough, they want to punish us even more. Don’t know how much more any one of us can take from these pure evil ndp and liberals. Just heard a trip from Edmonton to Las Vegas costs an average $500 bucks or so, but this hypocritical trudoop, who is constantly on holidays, is costing us a waping $36,000 an hour for using the government plane. I heard somewhere, he has already cost us over 9 million dollars in 2 years, one cannot make this up, this insanity of us allowing these constant expenses have got to stop. This vacuous unapologetic idiot has NO CONSCIENCE, NO STANDARDS AND NO MORALS.

I plan to make a trip to this Spruce Grove Tempo gas station when my gas tank is near empty. I will also go into the gas bar and tell the employees that I love their sign and keep up the good work.

Taxing home heat in a nation that is under snow 5 months of the year is immoral. Taxing basic food and clothing and other necessities is immoral. It displays the dissolute nature of kleptocratic socialism.

Adding carbon tax to our natural gas is a disgrace. We have been paying that in BC for a few years now. But, that’s not all there is to it, we also pay GST on the carbon tax.

When I complained to BC Revenue about charging tax on a tax, I was told that it is perfectly alright since the carbon tax is not a tax. Boy, did I feel stupid for not thinking of that.
commented 2018-01-05 19:13:21 -0500
Notley, Trudeau and the rest of the carbon tax-loving politicians should not be taxing something so vital to daily survival: energy for heat. We do not live in the tropics where there are no furnaces and they just put on pants and a long-sleeve shirt to stay warm.
While no tax increases are desirable, these politicians should tax things that aren’t vital to survival for Canadians, for instance: tobacco, alcohol, luxury items, estates, junk food, increased fines, medical service fees (income based), etc.
The price of heating our homes is not cheap and we regular people (unlike the rich and gov’t subsidized) try not to blast the furnace at any time of the year in order to save money. It’s no different than cutting back on restaurant meals and eating at home. Don’t they get it?
These politicians are deliberately attacking the population by making one of life’s staples difficult to afford. It’s a physical assault by government on its own people, not unlike despots around the world.
