Notley trying to woo Amazon HQ2 to Alberta — after driving away other multi-billion dollar companies

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Host | The Gunn Show

Premier Rachel Notley is convening a panel of "business attraction experts" to try to entice online retail giant Amazon to build a second global headquarters here in Alberta.

Forgive me for not being optimistic.

How can Notley attract a multi-billion dollar business to Alberta when she couldn't keep the ones we already had?

Ever since the NDP took power and started their attacks on free enterprise, there has been a mass exodus of multinational oil companies from Alberta.

But it's not just big oil and gas companies. Rachel Notley killed smaller, long time Alberta businesses too.

With over 200,000 Albertans unemployed, we desperately need these Amazon jobs.

But let's not pretend for a second that Amazon hasn't seen the same things about Alberta the rest of us have.

Al you might have to say it again . Jay (troll name) is a libitard . It’s like a retard that has a lack of comprehending skills . I think it was very clear but then again I hate Liberals and Nutty .

Jay, why do you try to derail The Rebel’s message? Shiela is NOT against attracting Amazon to Alberta. She is pointing out that Rachel Notley has screwed Alberta business so badly that no other company wants to come to Alberta to receive the same treatment. You lefties are clueless, aren’t you ? And willfully blind as well. Please do take that intro course on logic and perhaps a reading interpretation course as well.

Read the last paragraph again, Jay. Read slowly several times and let the meaning sink in:
“With over 200,000 Albertans unemployed, we Desperately Need These Amazon Jobs.

But let’s not pretend for a second that Amazon hasn’t seen the same things about Alberta the rest of us have."

Why try to derail the Alberta government’s attempt to lure the Amazon head-office to their province?

Alberta’s Premier and government have been trying to attract Amazon to base their new headquarters here. Why would you be against that?

There has to be footage of Notley’s drunkeness & socialist rants. Whoever is in possession of this footage please send it to Holly Nicholas or Sheila Gunn Reid.

Menotyou,

I think it is the fact that the left politicians know they are safe in public. Despite the histrionic rhetoric of the MSM, left politicians know they have nothing to fear from the law respecting right. So of course Notley is safe. Just like Menzoid seeing Wynne shopping unattended in a mall.

It is the right wing politician that has to worry about black shirts.

I have been told by a friend (stilling living in Alberta – though I have been trying to get him to leave for Texas.) that he has seen Notley twice. She walks to her office in the morning, by herself, and seemingly staring at the sidewalk as it passes under her feet. She looks haggard, depressed, and perhaps is even hungover. She seems to have no security detail nearby, so he’s not sure if all this is normal. Of course, it’s not normal, I told him. She setting herself up for some kind of incident. To what end? Her end? The end of her career? Or, maybe a means to an end, like something that will score her sympathy points. Interesting news, I thought.

WOW, that was a depressing list of job creating businesses that have shut down or left. And they are the bigger ones who made the news, it did not include the smaller businesses, who employ 2-5 employees, that have closed shop.

But we have social license! Boy, do we ever. We see it in the scat coming out of the NDP backsides every time they speak.

“Business attraction” and “Notley” aren’t those synonyms?

Me Not You damn rights, Notley will make up some BS why they are exempt and her sheep will lap it up even though it goes against what they claim to stand for.

If this happens, it will just be for the globalist photo op to make Rachel look good.

EVERY oil tanker that comes to Candastan is a boat load of money going the other way . But some comes back but not the way we would like it . I said before that once the money leaves it’s hard to get it back . China is just waiting for the bargain basement price . Alberta is close to the price .
People worry a bout interest rates rising but if oil prices spike we will be really screwed . Who am I kidding with the 3 stooges running Canada Gontario and Alberta we are screwed .

Bezos is a Bilderberg globalist, he and Amazon is key player in globalist subverting of the middle class worker and independent retailer. His operations are mind-control sweatshops that use high pressure work culture systems that drive employees to suicide- what kind of demented commie thinking would believe she can replace S120k/yr. oil patch jobs (which sustain an independent empowered working class) with some minimum wage drudge job in a high stress soul-sucking globalist plantation?

Great report Sheila, I’m not optimistic either…who can be when NDP Socialist regime has dismantled Alberta’s economy, and Altbertans are suffering.

“Wait until it gets out that an Amazon deal would have included tax-free, lease-free, cost-free operations for Amazon for 20 years.”

Agreed. With the number of communities worldwide vying for this opportunity, the only way anyone could get Amazon to even consider moving to an anti-business environment like Alberta has, would be to offer them corporate welfare on steroids.

You know, the kind of corporate welfare that Notley and cronies have railed against for years when it comes to O&G sector opportunities that contribute high-paying jobs and future further investment.

Amazon is big about company profits for themselves and the CEOs but small on the take-home money of the average worker bee which is probably why Notley set into motion a $15 an hour minimum…
The only people that benefit from Nutley shutting down our natural gas, oil and energy sectors is her real boss Justin in Ottawa and she for her efforts will receive some of the kickback money from Saudi Arabia bringing in conflict oil tankers down the gulf of St. Lawrence to feed the needs of the east..
For those that can’t see it they don’t want to.!!

This is the level of insanity Notley has reached.

Wait until it gets out that an Amazon deal would have included tax-free, lease-free, cost-free operations for Amazon for 20 years. The Calgary Flames are denied government support for their new arena, but Notley is ready to hand over billions for a pipe dream of whooing an online store into Alberta’s cesspool?

This is what happens when the government is on meds.

Just think of the headlines if Notley could entice Santa Claus into moving down from the North Pole. Of course the Elves would have to be unionized which kinda takes away from the fond way we think of Santa’s workers.
But Santa sharing a warehouse with Amazon might be a cost cutting measure for an aging Santa. Let’s wait and see.

Well Sheila, IF they are indeed “business attraction experts” then perhaps the first thing they should recommend is that Catcher’s Mitt Notley resign and retire in, say, Venezuela?…
